I swear Joseph Stalin's "Economic Problems of the USSR" is literally just like:
1. Make up some dogshit argument about commodity production.
2. Back up your argument by debunking yourself with quotes from Marx and Engels.
3. Further explain why you're wrong by giving arguments against your argument.
4. Refute all opposing arguments by using the well known source "these comrades are mistaken".
I'm sorry but if anyone thinks that this work of his should even be taken seriously by any measure then you've certainly got a very active imagination.
"If machinery be the most powerful means for increasing the productiveness of labour — i.e., for shortening the working-time required in the production of a commodity, it becomes in the hands of capital the most powerful means, in those industries first invaded by it, for lengthening the working-day beyond all bounds set by human nature. It creates, on the one hand, new conditions by which capital is enabled to give free scope to this its constant tendency, and on the other hand, new motives with which to whet capital’s appetite for the labour of others.
In the first place, in the form of machinery, the implements of labour become automatic, things moving and working independent of the workman. They are thenceforth an industrial perpetuum mobile, that would go on producing forever, did it not meet with certain natural obstructions in the weak bodies and the strong wills of its human attendants. The automaton, as capital, and because it is capital, is endowed, in the person of the capitalist, with intelligence and will; it is therefore animated by the longing to reduce to a minimum the resistance offered by that repellent yet elastic natural barrier, man. This resistance is moreover lessened by the apparent lightness of machine work, and by the more pliant and docile character of the women and children employed on it."
- Karl Marx, Capital Volume One
formalism is stupid
if you're looking for a specific date in which one mode of production changed to another, you're not gonna find one. these are social processes that develop and like comrade kamala said so wisely "You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you" or some such, so yeah, suck it formalists
MLs: we're not a bunch of blinkered cultists, we can have discussions with other leftists, honest!
MLs after you criticise any of their fav states: gtfo u fuckin fascist ur going on the list.
Real.
HAFRADA / APARTHEID
These five features of apartheid SouthAfrica are echoed in Israeli policies toward Palestinians today: 1. land expropriation, 2. racial classification, 3. mass displacement, 4. violent repression, and 5. token independence.
This series will be exhibited for the first time in London on Nov. 3, in partnership with the Palestine Solidarity Campaign UK, at their Justice in Palestine conference on ending Israeli apartheid. PSCJusticeConf

unironic trvth nvke
“leftcoms/ultras that say AES isn’t real socialism are unrealistic and idealist and they just want every point in the process of communism to be perfect without accounting for material things” sounds a lot like “material reality is an imperfect reflection of higher ideals” (platonism)
