oomf brought up a week or two ago about how Matt drove a 6hr round trip to pick up Ben from the uni of Vermont after he broke his hip playing basketball, I thought that was really sweet... I definitely believe my friends would do that if I asked, but I think the fact that Matt (who didn't drive often) did a full trip for Ben & also presumably looked after his miserable ass during that healing period is a testament to how much they mean to each other.

Thinking about a moment in the GQ friendship quiz (that i know you'd opssess about it too) where they ask matt what's the last text ben sent you, (and you'd think like, ohgh they mabye don't text or it's going to be nothing.. but he says that it was last night , ben telling him i'm 40 minutes away...

I mean i love that for so many reasons... i mean i love the fact that after all these years they love hanging out together, and please keep in mind this is after a whole press tour where they have to talk over snd over about their friendship and connection until it becomes dull and wired... but still they want to hang out and spend time together... they can never have enough of each other

genuinely so cute & sweet and I love how casual they get when talking about each other... I feel like most interview questions are sooo boring though, like "what movie by ben/matt is your fave" or "is it true you two are good friends" ... I'm glad they still answer them genuinely and with poise even though they're repetitive and often done mockingly...

I'm genuinely glad I missed the era where they didn't make movies together (because I was too young lol) so I'm getting to experience the second coming of mattfleck media 🩷
