Rebellion

What is a rebel? Is it someone who has sex? Who drinks? Who does drugs? That doesn't make you a rebel. That just makes you like every other person in this world. You want to be a rebel? Don't drink until you are 21. Don't do drugs, be a virgin on your wedding day. You really want to be a rebel, than read your Bible. Find happiness in God, not in things of this world.

People are so wrapped up in the materialistic aspect of life. They get depressed because they search for happiness in things that are of this earth. The search for happiness in things that can't fulfill the void inside of them. They search for happiness in things that can't give anything back to them. People make life so complex, when God, the Creator of the Universe, created this earth with the mindset that things were meant to be simple.

Our society has such a warped perspective on materialistic items. What they fail to recognize is when their time has come, God is going to look at them and say "I don't know you." We need to focus on him and not put our focus and energy into the material things in life. Instead, we need to put all our energy into building a relationship with God, so that when our time does come we can look and God and he will say to us, "Daughter, welcome home." That is the ultimate reward. To live in the greatest Kingdom that is not of this world.

You want to be a rebel in today's society? Open your Bible and build a relationship with God. I dare you!
