One of the beautiful girls who was taken from us too soon. This is Zara (left) and I (right), this was from her 17th birthday, not even 4 months ago. She was more than a best friend to me, she was a part of my family. Zara Simon, and Sam Neilsen (who was only 16) were the victims of a fatal high speed car crash in the early hours of the 6th of January 2013, in which they crashed into a power pole, cutting the car in two and killing them both instantly. Their deaths were so preventable. I just want to get awareness for drink driving out there. You never think it will happen to you or one of your friends, until it’s too late. So many people don’t realise how much of a serious issue it is. I don’t want anyone else to have to go through the grief and pain that I and so many others have been feeling over losing them.

Please, please before you or any of your friends get into a car, make sure the driver (at least) is sober. Not just ‘sober enough’ because that is just not good enough.

I’d do anything to get them back, even just for a day.

Rest easy angels, until we meet again.
