FRIENDS
A sweet friendship refreshes the soul
Proverbs 27:9
Just wanna share this short vacay of mine in our hometown. I came back home in Manila yesterday (june 11,2020) after spending two weeks. It was ordinary but quite memorable due to this pandemic. If I would mind other people's comment, I sound stubborn, obviously Philippines is still in the verge of pandemic and people are trying to get along with the new normal.
I've been longing to came home for months. Alfonso, Cavite, is where I grew up, since our parents got separated when I was three so basically my whole childhood until teenager years was spent in there, eighty percent of my life until now for short. Most of my relatives in my father's side lives in there too, elementary and High School Classmates especially my FRIENDS.
That is why, nothing can keep me apart from coming home. It is always nostalgic, since the beginning of my senior years I kept on visiting different houses of my friends, staying there for a night or two. It's so refreshing to do the things you are used to. Got to play childhood games like Hide and Seek, Bang Sak, Piring-piringan, Langi't Lupa and Tumbang Preso and oh we also did motor strolling we went from places near my other two girl friends barangays bought some Lomi and affordable milk tea's from Epics. Had some picture takings and watching sunsets all together and of course the never getting old sleep overs. I always felt lucky meeting people who actually supports each other and even their family extend their families too. We're being spoiled everytime we had this sleepover, from dinner, breakfast and lunch and snaaaacks. All different people combined. We watched movies, we had kwentuhan, asaran, pikunan, and unending tawanan.
This is the break I would never forget. When the soul is refreshed, got away from stress or problems. When you felt home once again, when you felt you belonged to that place, when you felt everything is just right and fine. When everyone became silly and happy at the same time. When these people lifts you up simply being with them, when they annoy you but makes you laugh right after. You will feel YOURSELF again.
They are the people that even when you're far from them will keep shining for you and will make you shine again. Restore you and rebuild you. Happy to be home again.
P.s: They are not complete yet, just one of the walking trips with these peeps.
