first time trying a milk bath and I loved it!! don’t have much collection in the way of herbs right now but I used peppermint and rose hips, plus lavender and peppermint essential oils. 🍶🌿
🛁Cleansing Time🛁: Milk Bath
Sweetening baths are always fun to do. Yesterday I did a milk bath to relax, clarify, and uplift myself. I’ve seen plenty of baths and feel like the milk bath doesn’t get its props like it should. So here I go!
The milk bath has been a staple in cosmetic history as well as hoodoo/conjure. Since tales of old it has been credited for the beauty women have obtained that can rule nations (Cleopatra for example).
Not only can a milk bath enrich ones skin but it can uplift the mind and spirit as well. This time of year it can be a great treat to yourself if stressing over Xmas shopping or if you’re feeling lonely and missing the warmth of family and holiday cheer. You can even tweak the ingredients to be a love drawing bath if that’s what you desire!
MANDATORY INGREDIENTS:
MILK!
Goats milk, human breast milk, cows milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, coconut milk, almond milk. All of these milks are fine and can be mixed with other milks. I used goats milk and coconut milk in mine.
What I did with my bath was brew a tea with herbs and oils I wanted to use into a liquid to be added to the bath as well. I used fresh but dried also works as well.
Other ingredients that can be used in a milk bath are:
Mint
Basil
Rosemary
Pine
Cascarilla
Camphor
Molasses
Honey
Lavender Flowers
Oils like almond oil, peppermint oil, pure shea butter or cocoa butter
Florida Water
Rain Water
River Water
Holy Water
Fresh flowers/flower petals for the tub water (white for purification/general blessings, pink for self love & beauty, red for love/attraction, yellow for friendship and happiness, orange to clarify the mind/stop depression)
If you can tell by my ingredient list I chose herbs that soothe you when you’re feeling restless and to draw sweet things to you. Pine is especially good when you’re feeling those winter time blues, a favorite of mine.
You dont have to have have all that extra stuff, all you really need is a few cups of milk and a psalm or prayer. What matters is you’re focusing your intent on healing and feeding your spirit. Feel free to experiment with different ingredients that are complimentary. Your skin AND spirit will be glowing in no time!!

Encourages peace and calm, promotes self love, helps with astral projection, good for after doing a tiring spell, especially a curse, and invigorates throat chakra.
I want it until I don’t
Then I never want it again
Until the pain eventually kicks back in
And the thoughts become like a crumpled up piece of paper that has made its way into the garbage
With words on it
That I still recognize too well and much too often
Changing the course of the night as quickly as the sun rises and then the life I have starts to seem haunted
Haunted with a regret and a mess
That I don’t remember how to clean up or lay to rest
I spend my days looking for something that is already there
Failing to acknowledge the truth that is found in despair
The water isn’t feeling cold
The bed isn’t feeling warm
And this house isn’t feeling like much of a home
Everything fades away and fades back in the same
Everything is empty yet my chest feels too full
Everything I know is right here in this room
Looking back at me with disappointment saying I allowed it to get this bad and that I should feel this fucking sad
I did it to myself
I did it without thinking twice
I still did it even with thinking twice
So this is the price
The price I got to pay
For living too long staying the same and for thinking that writing it out will make it go away
Same energy
😋 toke and smoke 🌲
