Oliver said the bobby fake script leak was done so they could try to reel(??) back in the spoilers and still have his death be hard hitting.

It was ‘well intended’ and an ‘effort by the show (not cast.’ and that he thinks they ‘didn’t go about it the right way.’ Also that it wasn’t done to make fun of or mock the fans/plot.
