This is a drawing I wanted to do last year but never got around to it.
Which is why Little Arturo looks like PPGZ, I didn't redesign him to look more like the original powerpuff design until the end of last year.
But this was such a cute little doodle that I just HAD to finish this.
So here is a sweet little idea I had.
The story behind it was that the guys were just getting odd jobs during Christmas since usually retail stores hire like crazy during this season. Big Billy was the perfect size to fill in a job as a mall Santa, plus all he has to do is sit in a big chair and ask kids what they want for Christmas.
Just a little wholesomeness which is such a large turn around from all the hijinks I have planned for them to do this year.
I definitely had a thing where Ace was the catalyst for all the boys naughty behavior, and I can't wait to show off the jacket I designed just for Ace later on these coming days.
I legit had this whole thing planned last year with the whole odd jobs thing!
I wouldn't say it was a linear story, but it was sort of a come and go episodic thing where every now and then we'd come back to the boys in their Christmas gear hitting up another classic job that we see around Christmas time.
Even some dumb things that probably don't exist but I thought it fit with who they are as characters.
I MIGHT go back and do what I didn't get to touch last year since some of them I really like such as this one, but yeah,
I'm going to stop rambling now and finally show ya'll the image. LOL
Just a chill big Billy doing his job, and a kid not even questioning why he's green,
but I'd say Billy would explain it away by showing off his "elf" pal and saying they're both technically elves? Idk, he's not very menacing in this scene but I feel like It'd totally change it if I were to think of this this year. I'd probably be more menacing, but I was really in holiday spirits when I doodled this so I wanna keep it the way I had originally saw it. It's super cute!
