happy late birthday, sooyoung-ah!! may the words you've written always reached your reader
happy birthday to me
happy birthday, sooyoung-ah. may the stars lead your way home.
.
one of these days I'm gonna pull a kim dokja
happy birthday to our maybe not the only anymore, but definitely the most iconic protagonist. whatever your ■■ might be, I hope it's one where you're not alone.
han sooyoung: love is weakness and an evolutionary mistake.
yoo joonghyuk: you are literally writing a story for dokja rn
han sooyoung, pointing her keyboard: you're on thin fucking ice, terrorist.
han sooyoung and yoo joonghyuk throughout the whole epilogue: man that was so funny I wish kim dokja was here so I could see his reaction
orv epilogue summary: screaming match between kimcom and kim dokja about who loves each other more
I love that in the epilogue, yoo joonghyuk became a reader and a writer too at some point. there are some big metaphors there that I am unfortunately too wrecked up to think rn
when it came near the end of the story and the epilogue, I slowed my reading as much as possible to only around 3 chapters per reading session (and those reading sessions are scarce). but when it's the time for epilogue, it became much worse. mostly because I don't want to see it end, but also because I can't move past one sentence without crying for 10 minutes. what shin yoosung said in the epilogue really validated me
I read until chapter 537 in 2022, but I really couldn't bring myself to read more, and it continued for three years. until today. the reason being I am about to open a new chapter of life, and I just want to finish this story before that. I am so glad I managed to finish it before dying (a real concern, seriously).
ORV is really precious to me, so I can only hope that in the distant universe somewhere where stories are incessantly moving, they will come along and create a happy conclusion at some point.
han sooyoung to anyone who isn't kim dokja: move, bitch.
han sooyoung really said: I don't care who you are, I don't care if you read my novel or not, I don't even care if you think it fucking sucks or the disgrace of the century, I write for ONE person and ONE person ONLY. the rest of you are IRRELEVANT.
started in late 2020. went through three year hiatus from 2022. but I finally completed ORV.
the last 5 chapters.....
bawling my eyes out. the whole of ORV really is just one big love letter
kim dokja is the very definition of 'haunting the narratives', especially because he managed to get both the writer and the protagonist of said narrative to fell absolutely head over heels for him, to the point they wrote a completely new story with him as the protagonist
