[Cait turned away from her sister finally and held a finger up to him] I'm reassigning you because you've worked for my family for a very long time, and I assume that in that time you've come into contact with our family motto, Family. Duty. Honor. I'm sure from experience that you are also aware that I'm not usually the one to follow that motto, but today that changes. This is my little sister and I am trusting you to protect her. Sometimes… [Eddie mused, before he thought about Lana Lannister] But sometimes, I’m happy we did. This place, these people, they gave us opportunities beyond being the Tullys of Portland. [Eddie exhaled with a slight growl]

Caitlin. This isn’t funny, those suits are here to protect you. And you’d be safer freaking out around them than freaking out in the back of a van. Don’t make me put you under protective custody, I will do it.

Maybe it's just me then.. because even though I only remember it was a girl, I miss Portland.

I'm not laughing. I don't like the suits, and I already told you it won't be me. What kind of masochistic kidnapper would take the coke addict and leave the good kids? I'd be sweating and vomiting every night in whatever they'd be keeping me in, van or otherwise, plus I'm sure the rest of you would be worth more ransom.. It's just not practical to take me.

A fall of one of the Seven Companies means disaster for the rest. When Robert Baratheon offered us office space, he tied us all together. [Eddie looked up with a raised eyebrow] You know Lucas as well, if not better than I do. You have special forces guys making up your security detail as well as our boys from THT. Serena has one of Lucas’ most trusted soldiers on her detail and she’s at home with Mom and Dad. The Lannisters have the largest and best security personnel, Dad knew it would be foolish to refuse the help.

Nobody wants you to stay out of this more than I do. [Eddie sighed, walking away from her to look at his testing equipment] I am not going to test you tonight…I trust you.

Do you ever wish we'd just stayed home? I mean, instead of moving out here to New York with the rest of the families? There are days when I think we'd be better off. [shaking her head] I don't know him at all anymore and I ditched my security detail hours ago. I hate having the suits around me, it freaks me out.

...Thank you. It actually means a lot to me that you do. But I meant what I said about being safe.

You may not care, but I do. These people are our friends and allies. If anything happens to them, it affects us just the same. The game that Dad and Grandpa played is much different than the one we’re playing now. It’s not about the sword in front of you, but the dagger behind you. If Lucas Lannister can call Dad to offer Lannister security men to protect us, I think I can at least do my job.

I am doing this for my family. This is my duty to my family and if Dad were here, he’d say the same thing and so would Grandpa Hank. Caitlin [Eddie took her shoulders] You need to understand that this is a dark world we’re living in. The towers fell and we aren’t invincible anymore. You need to get clean and get your head back into it.

I'm getting clean but I've never wanted to be apart of this dark world. I never wanted to play the game. [she shrugged him off] Fine, do your job if you must. But keep yourself safe out there.

The streets, the precinct, I may even pay ol’ Hamish McLoughlin a visit. If anything’s going on this city, he’s got his finger on the button. [Eddie sighed, before looking to her] And what if it’s you? Or Serena? Or Thomas Baratheon? Hayley Martell? Lucas Lannister? Mason Arryn? We’re all targets, and I’m not going to hide on our mansion waiting to see who gets picked off.

[Eddie let out a humorless laugh] Caitlin, this isn’t a joke. I’m a police officer. I not only volunteered, but I’ve been ordered.

The McLoughlin's? Now you're just trying to scare me, aren't you? [shaking her head] Don't be an idiot it's not me. And don't worry about Serena she's smart enough to keep herself safe, unlike you. As for Thomas, Hayley, Luke, and Mason. I frankly don't care.
