Arcanist Tyrconnell,

I pray you have been well since our time in the north. I am not aware of your placement since Noesis disbanded, but I was hopeful that you might acquiesce to a request.

You have likely heard of the siege of Divinity’s Reach and the war against the White Mantle. We are attempting to better understand the vast arrays of bloodstone augmented magic the Mantle control. I have a small experiment planned, shall we say, but beyond that we need capable minds when it comes to comprehending the White Mantle’s sorcery.

Exemplar Cristian Eskara has given me permission to offer you clearance to enter Lake Doric, and to join us on the battlefield. If you are able, you would be most welcome.

I apologize for possibly tearing you from the arms of your loved one. Say hello to Anna for me.

Since the disbanding of Noesis, Callais had returned to her regular duties around the Durmand Priory. Compared to the few missions she had been on with the former Pact team, her old duties seemed almost boring. On the other hand, it had made it easier for her to see her dearheart Anna LaCoria on a more regular basis.

When the letter from Warmaster Valister had arrived for her, she had almost immediately forwarded the request to her Magister for approval. Naturally, the Priory was willing to aide in any way they could, especially since it would allow for more thorough research on the jade constructs.

Warmaster Valister,

It would be my honor to aide you in your experiment, and as well as the clearance offered by Exemplar Eskara, I have received the Priory to join you in the field. In addition to your own curiosity, the Priory has a particular interest in anything that can be learned on the nature of Bloodstone magic and the Jade Constructs.

I have received basic instructions from my superiors, and will be reporting to the main camp located against the eastern walls of Divinity’s Reach within the next twenty-four hours. I will await further instructions from you there.

Primary report from Operation Frost Fall Arcanist Callais Tyrconnell Member of the Mist Energy Research and Application Division and Noesis

Under the directive and supervision of Commander Ruo Nightrend, Warmaster Morgan Valister, and Lieutenants Sviennlark and Frosthildr, a march from Elder’s Vale in Frostgorge Sound to Black Ice Pass in Bitterfrost Frontier was conducted. The goal of the operation was to escort the supply dolyak Bill along with supplies to establish a base camp in the Bitterfrost region.

In addition to providing combat support for the caravan, I was tasked with establishing safe passages across large waterways. This was accomplished with a combination of magic and compounds used to create an endothermic reaction in the flowing waters. Even with the low temperatures of the water, establishing a stable ice platform proved to be a difficult task.

Three passages across the water were made successfully, utilizing substances supplied by Arcanist Sholtz and his research team. I will note that without the constant flow of magic continuously freezing the waters, the ice bridges collapsed almost immediately. Following the third passage, I had completely reached my limit for magic output.

A temporary camp has been established by Noesis south of Black Ice Pass for our team to recuperate. Scouting excursions have begun not only including members of Noesis, but members of other Pact Teams, Orders, and individuals moving into the region to offer support. I am currently awaiting medical clearance from Lieutenant Sviennlark to resume active duty.

Open World Roleplay Event: The Northern Front

OPERATION FROST FALL; 77 Season of the Colossus 1329 AE

The members of Pact Strike Force Noesis will muster their forces at the Pact encampment of Elder’s Vale in Frostgorge Sound to begin stage one of Operation Frost Fall. 

A map has been enclosed.

Objectives:  

Escort a pack dolyak carrying mission-critical supplies through the Frostwalk Tundra, the Shattered Ice Floe and the Drakkar Spurs to the pass into Bitterfrost Frontier to begin establishing a foothold in the region. Scouting out and mapping the area is key, in order to pave the way for more Pact forces. 

OOC Event Information: 

We will begin gathering at Elder’s Vale Fort in Frostgorge Sound at 6PM PST on December 16th, 2016. This an open world event and members of the community are welcome to come and participate! Any questions can be sent by ask or direct message via tumblr. 

How to Participate:

If you are interested in participating, feel free to just show up on the day of the event or message me directly if your character has services to offer etc,. If you would like for your character to be examined by a medic of Noesis, please contact Sviennlark before 12/16/16.

Commander Nightrend and Officers of Noesis,

My inquiries at the Priory have yielded maps of the territories north of Frostgorge Sound. It may prove to be nothing more than useless sketches on parchment. The region was once known to the Stone Summit Dwarves as Iron Horse Mines. I have been informed that between the natural shifts in topography combined with the influence of Jormag, that very little may remain that matches the maps. It was speculated that some of the deeper, larger caves may yet remain intact however.

I am sending these to you in advance of my return. I wish to take two days before returning to spend with my dear companion. Magister LaCoria is aware of this leave should any issues arrive.
