Alexandria was making her way home from work when the strap of her old work bag finally decided to go, spilling the contents all over the sidewalk. She began shuffling to try to pick things up when she noticed a set of legs coming towards her. “Please be careful where you step.” She called out, looking up to meet her eyes with the person in question. “Some of this stuff is expensive and it’s just not my day.”

Shep witnessed the whole scene as he walked up, the woman’s belongings rolling across the pavement as he bent to try and gather things before they got too far away. “Here, lemme help” He gave a nod as he handed over a few things. “It might not be too pretty but I have a plastic bag here...”  He pulled his laptop case around to the front and pulled the bag out, handing it to her. “Might make it easier to carry it all”

Shep couldn’t help the groan her actions drew from him. Zelda didn’t want to be alone, she needed human contact and Shep was the only person she knew wouldn’t completely mind her bugging at this time. She heard his voice through the door first, walking out of her bedroom as he called out again and she opened the door. Her eyes danced over his features, a sly grin painted on her features- giving away her motives. She grabbed his hand and pulled him into the room, closing the door as her arms looped around his neck. “So” she said “Did you finish?” her brow quirked gently, a teasing smile hinted on her lips.

“Did.....is this a booty call? Have I been booty called?” He laughed a little as she pulled him into the room and closed the door. His hands landed on her waist when her arms looped around his neck. “Finish?” He raised a brow before laughing. “Oh well...sort of” He shrugged.

“Zelda, let me in. It’s almost 4 in the morning and it’s freezing out here!” Shep called  through the door as he knocked, trying to keep his voice quiet enough that the neighbors didn’t overhear but loud enough that she could hear him through the door. Scratching at his jaw he sighed. “Come ooooooon you can’t just call me and tell me to come over in the middle of the night then leave me standing here!”

“So, I think maybe I went a little overboard for Eliana’s first Christmas.” Connor admitted, “I kind of only finished putting the last thing together today.” he said with a sheepish grin. Harmony had insisted they were going to need a bigger house before their daughter was five at this rate, but he couldn’t help himself. He loved to buy presents for the people in his life, and he always went just a bit over the top for the holidays. “But, I mean, she’ll be the most well entertained toddler in the world. She can surely never get bored now.”
