If he were to be honest with himself, anything that would happen to Hari, Kai would more over be furious. He would have to(hesitantly) as his sister for help.

Soon they reach the base and he walks in.

Hari goes straight for Kai’s office, starting to pick things up and put them in their place.He takes his time, making sure everything was perfect and clean just as Kai liked. It took a while because he took so long, but before long, he was done. 

Clapping his hands together he let out a huff. Perfect. Everything was to his liking and looked aesthetically pleasing as well. Walking to Kai’s room, he knocked on the door.

“Overhaul, sir? I finished cleaning.”

“I apologize for my sister’s behaviour. She isn’t normally like that.” Hearing the rest he let out a laugh.

“Thats to be expected. But I’m not as bad as they make me out.” Liar. Yes you can be.

“I must ask how did you meet Luna? I know she usually works alone afterall.” He gestures for him to sit down.

Reluctantly he moved from the wall to sit down. Placing his gun beside him, he adjusted his sleeveless turtleneck. “I guess....After all, they were just rumors. But pretty nasty ones at that. You don’t have a good name or reputation in the hero world.” He blinked, his eyes locking on Kai’s yet again. 

He couldn’t help but staring into his eyes. “Uh! I met her through my father. He runs an agency and I suppose he met her? I’m not sure of the details.” He was having a hard time getting the words out. 

“S-sorry, I’m just not used to this.”

“Good. Now lets get going.” He says with a grin. He really was enjoying this to the fullest

“Yes, si- Kai.” He followed his capo, silent. He was thinking about what would happen if he ever got caught by other villains. They would definitely use him as a bribe or trap material.”

“Hmm.” He let out the hum without thinking.

He looks at the other, letting go of Luna’s cheeks who whines a bit childishly as she rubs them, grumbling.

“Yes. Please, relax. I have no interest in harming you, or any hero for that matter.” He says bowing his head slightly. “Its a pleasure to meet Luna’s friend. She talks highly of you after all.” He says.

“Alright! Have fun you too! I need to put a grumpy Eri to rest!”

With that Luna went off.

“Ah Luna wait-!”

Making a face, he turned to the Capo. “Um.....” He took steps backward until his back bumped into the wall. Shifting the gun slightly, he moved it so it was pointed toward the ground. “M-My name is Hari Kurono. I go by Chrono or Chronostasis as my hero name.”

“I’m sorry for reacting like this, but I haven’t heard the most pleasant of things about you. Nor did I ever think I was going to come face to face with any Yakuza.”

“Did I stutter?” He asked curiously.

“No sir.” 

It was pure instinct. The way Kai said it made him spit out sir. He covered his mouth, his rose gold irises focused on the ground. Whoops-

Uncovering his mouth he tried to sound confident after that slip-up. “I will. I’ll make sure it looks spotless.

“Yes, one moment. Rappa can you please get Eri and take her to my room?” With that she left down the hall. Rappa mutter something about stupid overbitch and princess before leaving. A few moments later Luna returns with a male with looked similar to the female, like the same sharp golden eyes.

“Kai, this is Chrono, who I told you about? Hari this overworked idiot is my brother-“ instantly her cheeks were being pulled.

“Who are you calling an idiot? Why did you bring a hero here?” He was calm.

Immediately Hari’s gun was off his shoulder, pointed at the Yakuza leader.

His eyes were wide, staring straight at Luna’s brother. “You’re Chisaki Kai, correct?” He felt his heart drop into his stomach. He had heard things about the Capo, but he wasn’t sure if all of it was true. Just staring at him made him want to run. 

“I-I....” At the same time, Chisaki’s eyes were mesmerizing. He felt like he was being pulled into them. Shaking his head, he pulled his gun up, holding it in one hand. 

“My apologies. I got a little uh....spooked if you will.” He kept one finger over the trigger in case he needed to fire.

He grins, accepting the mask and places it on. “Indeed. I believe after you finish cleaning my office I expect you in my room tonight.” He calmly states.

“Great.” He rolls his eyes at the ‘cleaning my office’ part. It wasn’t too bad compared to say Setsuno’s room or the bathroom, but it was tedious and slightly annoying. 

“Yeah yeah.” After a second he did a double-take. “What?”

“Welcome to the Shie Hassaikai. “And before you ask, no I’m not appart of the yakuza. That’s my brother. He calls me that because other than his boss I can beat him.” She turns to him.

“You have asked about more of my personal life and well here it is.” She began telling him how the former boss took both her and her brother in whenthey were much younger, and how her brother took over when the old man couldn’t do it.

“Think of them as anti-heroes.”

“Yakuza?!”

He took a couple of deep breaths, breathing out slowly. He listened to her, taking in the information. Trying to process it, he rubbed his temples. How the fuck did he get himself mixed up in this. Well, it was his fault. He did ask about Luna’s life. Karma really came back and bit him in the ass. 

“Anti-heroes? I...I can try? All I’ve ever been taught was that they were bad. I’m sorry I’m having such a visceral reaction, I just wasn’t expecting to come to the Hassaikai base.” He laughed nervously, looking at his shoes. 

Rubbing the back of his neck, he cleared his throat. “You said, brother?” His fac displayed exactly how nervous he was.

Now that caught him off guard. But he smiles slightly. “Thank you. I’ll make sure to protect you as well.”

         The bird smiles. He slaps down some money, getting up and pulling Kai up with him.”Let’s go before those two come back.” He picked up Kai’s mask, handing it to him. “Plus you have to punish me, right?” 

                                             He smirks, tugging Kai out the door.

A playful hit on his shoulder, akin to what a sister would do. “Hush, you are an amazing hero.” She says. After a bit of confusing turns, the reach the base. “Please tell Kai I’m here.” She says to a guard, who nods and bows to her.

“Welcome to my original humble abode.” She says with a sarcastic tone. A hulking male came up to them.

“YO PRINCESS! YOU WANNA FIGHT?” Luna seemed instantly over with everything. Letting out a sigh she crossed her arms.

“No Rappa. Where’s my brother?”

“Overjerk? In his office! He’s pissy cause the brat is refusing to sleep.”

                                                             “That’s-”

     He’s seen this person in the files in his father’s office. Immediately tensing up. He was ready to swing his gun around and smack the heck out of Rappa if needed. It seemed as though Luna really did know him. Was she an undercover villain? A double agent?

     “Miss Luna, pray tell me, where exactly are we?” The strain in his voice was very apparent. He felt like he was getting into something he shouldn’t be. He shouldn’t be here. He was going to gt in so much trouble-

     Staring up a Rappa, he took half a step backward. Seeing this man up close and personal was definitely jarring. He thought he’d never run into him.

He only nods. Dating would be troublesome if other knew. Good thing he can easily pass himself off as uncaring. But Hari. He would have a bit more trouble.

     He lets out a stressed and tired noise. Sometimes it really sucked to be a villain. They were always on their toes, always had their guard up. Especially Hari. Most villains wanted him dead because of his deadly abilities. They just wanted to be able to take Kai out.

     But Hari wouldn’t let that happened. He would die before Kai got hurt. He refused to let Luna and Eri get hurt either. To protect Kai meant to protect the other two as well. 

     “I...I’m going to protect you to my last breath. That is my vow as your shadow and aide.”

She made no comment. “Some would say so. But he’s a good guy at heart. After all, he helped raise me, and looked how I turned out!” If you were to talk about her germaphobic tendices and sometimes harsh self training sessions….

“That doesn’t matter, my brother’s been interested in meeting you.” She says waving her hand as she began walking.

     Claws grip the strap of his gun, his knuckles turning white. “Miss Luna-”

     He decided to not protest, just following her. Luna did turn out alright. He did notice the small idiosyncrasies that she had. He always thought it was strange, but then again he remembered how hard his own father pushed him and the oddities he ended up with. 

     Aka, his need to perfect his aim when sniping and shooting. It was something that was pounded into him. And his strange habits when it came to his nails and steel tips.

     “Me? I mean, I’m not very interesting. I’m just your run of the mill hero.”

“I’m aware. But you know my sister will find out easily. You can’t hide anything from her.” He chuckled the last part. That girl was like a bloodhound.

He reached his free hand up, lightly rubbing his eye as to not smear the eyeliner on it. “Yes, I know. She can’t say a word either. “If any other villains find out, they might try to use it to their advantage. And I don’t want-”

To worry you if I get captured. 

He went silent, squeezing Kai’s hand tightly. “Anyway, we just need to be careful.

“Its okay Hari.” The female says. The thing she wanted to show was more so a person; her brother to be exact. Something in her heart said that he would never like her back, and oddly enough that was fine. She was happy being best friends with the male.

“Ready to go?” She asked, a hand on her hip. “I think you’ll like it.” She says with a smile. “Afterward I’ll treat you to something to eat.” Usually the bribe with food helped out. The underground hero hummed, texting her brother to get ready. Knowing him he was up to his head in paperwork. “Ah, but you promise to not do anything sudden?”

“Hhh....fine.” 

Food was food, and he was always hungry. He gave her a curious glance, tilting his head in a very bird-like fashion. Reaching up to move an arrow out of his face, he laughed. “What, is he a villain?”

Hari wasn’t a huge fan of villains. Many times they tried to stop him and his family from doing their thing as heroes. His mother ran an agency back in Mexico and his father was here in Japan, running his agency. Hari learned everything about fighting from his father. 

He grew up in Japan as a hero, not knowing any other path or choice. “You know, as a hero, it’s my job to stop heroes. Or at least that’s what dad says.”
