One Sultry Afternoon of Realization
Sometimes, I feel subdued about being born a millennial. That I belong to  a generation of individuals obsessed with extreme consumerism. That I see many embracing the virtual world. A lot of young people today are losing their ends with the oppressive cult of overindulgence. It is undeniably evidenced by excessive attachment in media under its platforms (that is, FB, twitter, IG, etc.). You can just see the threading of conversation and yet real connection is missing. Almost everything is going virtual, including relationships. Perhaps, this is what it means to be losing realism and sensibility. I hope not.
P.S. This is not conclusive to the idea that getting involved with social media is not a good thing. Keyword here is OVERINDULGENCE.Â
I hope we still enjoy long walks with friends and be able to bond less our devices.Â
