Week this week and also last week cos I missed it oops | Sean | Baby Editor
So rather than post something individual every week for the rest of the summer, I thought I’d finally start something a bit more long term; so until September (with the exception of next week cos I’m in Norway so photos) I’m gonna be working on this every week and hopefully by the end it’ll look like something coherent.
After watching Baby Driver last week I was inspired to make something heist-y; after all I love the genre - Inception is heist film so duh, also Ocean’s 11 and the beginning of The Dark Knight, phwoar. Seeing as I’m doing digital media next year, hopefully, I thought I should probably practice some more after effects and photoshop. Immediately you can see one stupid mistake I’ve made that’s going to take a lot of time to fix. I created the main graphic in far too small a resolution meaning that everything taken from photoshop looks mad pixely.
My goal for two weeks time is to have fixed this stupid mistake, and finished all the animation and camera movements on this floor.
Oh and I also quit my job.

Week nobody cares anymore | Lauren
My first job paid cash in hand. As a young tween this could potentially be dangerous and wasted on McDonald’s *cough*. To help us save, my dad bought my sister and I these savings tins that you could only open with this special tin opener. After every shift we would split our wages in two, half in the tin, other half to spend as we wish. The best part about these tins is we’d usually be saving for something, so just before the something we would crack open the tins and count every single hard earned penny. It was always a thrill when you had more than you thought you did.
Now I’m all grown up and I still use a similar method for saving however it’s all done electronically. I just transfer money from my bank account to a savings account my dad is in charge of. Over the years I’m happy to say that I’ve managed to save quite a lot of money- for what I have no idea. The thing about this is like most adult things it’s lost the magic. I don’t get to tip all my hard earned money onto the breakfast bar and count it all. I don’t have a goal amount for how much to put in the tin before I can buy that new thing I’ve wanted or holiday spending money. If I want something I just stick my card in the reader, pop in my pin and badabing badaboom there we go the thing is mine.
I stole an empty cocoa powder tin from work and decided to decorate it for this weeks blog post. You'll notice I chose to use my rediscovered childhood obsession. For what at the time I didn’t know but now I’ve decided that I’m going to stick it in the kitchen of the house and do what I used to do. Again, the goal at the end currently is unknown but I will let you know when I decide. I just wanna try and get some magic back to make it feel like all my hard work this summer has really been for something special.

Surprise! | Billy | Week #8
As you can see the blog is currently fugly. Was trying to find a new theme for like 2 hours and gave up but I will fix it soon!
So it may surprise some of you to know that I’ve been working on a logo for the past week. Was kinda told to do it when we first started the blog. I wanted a chicken nugget, everyone else wanted Leo. Everyone else won. But I kinda very much struggled as you can see below. It’s very shit.
But then last week while at the gym #HumbleBrag I was trying to think of a little animation to start and end our videos with which led me to imagining an animation with a boat tipping in a circle. I then, due to being a genius, Googled the phrase “Adobe Illustrator Logo Make.” I do words good. Which led me to this retro logo which I then decided to kinda just rip off.
Resulting in all these which you’ve already seen too much (fuck you I like the banner and the blue spikes).
Naturally however as with everything I do, just before I was about to finish it all I realised I didn’t really like it anymore. Because I’m a dick. At first I used more pastel, less vibrant colours which helped a bit but I still wasn’t a fan. I even tried getting rid of the banner because I’m a pussy and do whatever people shout at me. Still didn’t like.
So then I just started deleting shit. If somebody had filmed this it would have been a slow zoom onto my eyes gradually getting wider as they uncovered something beautiful. So yeah, I quite like this final logo. If you don’t then *makes fart noise with mouth*.
Or we just ask Nat to make an actually good one ;) Or I’ll give Leo another go.

So, I’ve just returned from a crazy, sun-burned, drunken, feta-fuelled adventure in CRETE, SOMEWHERE OFF THE COAST OF GREECE.

1) The Cretan population are the nicest bunch ever. FREE SHOTS AFTER EVERY MEAL, NO MATTER WHAT TIME OF DAY.

3) The meat the serve is so tender you can literally SUCK it through a STRAW.
4) Your eyes get so used to seeing mountains and things but they don’t become boring they just stay being mountains and things. LIFEHACK!

Lauren wasn’t happy with what she’d been working on to upload today and didn’t have time to work on it as much as she wanted with Sian leaving for Cuba tomorrow. So this week we’ve switched days.
I’ve added two new comics to the Instagram page, one is a bit meh and falls flat so I might delete it but I’m happy with the other one.
