The name's Hunter Clarington, and don't you forget it. Anything less than the best is unacceptable. I strive for perfection. Life might seem like fun and games, but I'm certainly not here to play them.
You don’t look much like a Dalton guy, no offense. You look like you might actually be more than just one of those preppy types that’s all upper crust and thinks their shit don’t stink.
Man, I don’t know what I’d do without sports. I’m taking AP Pre-Calc and SAT Prep but I just couldn’t sacrifice football and hockey. I get like four hours of sleep on a good night but it’s whatevs.
You should. Nothing quite like a good boxing match, ya know?
I'm new to private school. I mean, I went to military school for most of last year, but it's not really the same as a private boarding school. Public kind of sucked for me.
That's pretty cool. Although, I don't know about you, but I need more than four hours of sleep to function well.
Yeah, I suppose so. I've never actually boxed with anyone before.
No shame there. Hockey’s not for everybody and your little picture there makes me wonder if you’ve got the build for it, but if you’ve got the agility, you can probably skate around the bruisers if you need to.
What do you do now? Sports, man. It’s the place to be. There’s some good shit going on, I’ll tell ya.
Oh hey, if you’re ever at the Kickboxing Gym in Lima, stop by. We could go a few rounds if you’re down.
Well, I went to military school last year, and I liked it there. But yeah, if I ever do get into hockey, I'll be sure to dodge and duck a lot or something.
I used to be captain of the swim team and drill teams at my old school, sports wise. But at Dalton, I'm trying to focus more on academics and extracurricular clubs. My schedule is just a bit too hectic for sports this year, unfortunately.
Yeah, that would be cool. I'll let you know if I have plans to go into Lima any time soon.
GENERAL NOTES → Stress begins to take its toll on Hunter, and Sebastian proposes a solution. [COMPLETE]
Sebastian: Dalton was far from what Sebastian had expected. He wasn't sure if it was in a good or bad way, but all he knew was that he was getting some and his grades were great as usual. He could pretend he didn't care about being in Ohio instead of New York. On this particular night, he'd gotten back from Scandals after what had been a great night to find Hunter studying and just sat on his desk, letting Sonic play on it while he worked on a few exercises. He was started by the noises Hunter's actions caused and raised an eyebrow at him, surprised. "Roommate guy? What's up?"
Hunter: At the sound of Sebastian's voice, Hunter didn't answer him. He didn't know if his voice would hold out the way he wanted it to, so he just didn't speak. Instead, he just let the hot, angry tears well up in his eyes. He could hear the blood pounding in his head and ears, which only agitated his headache even more. He tried to take deep breaths to calm himself, but it didn't seem like it was doing any good for him.
Sebastian: Sebastian eyed Hunter carefully, unsure what to do. "...Hunt?" he called in a quieter voice after a few moments. He stood up warily and walked to Hunter's bed, watching him while he bit his bottom lip. "What's going on?"
Hunter: Hunter could feel that Sebastian was closer and he turned his face away from the direction of his voice. Taking a deep breath and sniffling a little, he replied, "Nothing, I'll be fine in a second." He drew his feet up closer to himself, bending his knees so that his feet were planted flat on the bed.
Sebastian: Sebastian rolled his eyes at Hunter's words, resisting the urge to slap his head as he sat on the edge of the bed. "It's been a second and you're not fine, so shut up. Seriously, what's up?"
Hunter: Hunter peered out at Sebastian through the little bit of space he had between his arms for a moment before shutting his eyes. "My head hurts unbearably and the talking isn't really helping right now," he muttered. He knew he shouldn't be so moody to Sebastian, but he was feeling too terrible to care.
Sebastian: "Geez, fine," Sebastian murmured with a huff, standing up again and walking to his desk. "Are you allergic to any meds? I have pretty much everything in here, so you can say if you have a preference or whatever."
Hunter: Hunter shrugged a bit and peeked out a little more, the tears still pooled on his cheeks. "I don't know," he murmured. "I don't think I'm allergic."
Sebastian: Sebastian nodded at Hunter's words, just taking the first painkiller he found and a bottle of water. He gave both of them to Hunter, pretending he couldn't see the tear stains on his face. "Here you go."
Hunter: Hunter wiped his eyes on his sleeve before sitting up and taking the items from Sebastian. "Thanks," he murmured, running a hand through his hair. He took the pill and swallowed it down quickly, downing it with a gulp of water.
Sebastian: "So..." Sebastian started, shuffling awkwardly on his feet. "You look like crap," he stated without hesitation even though he was aware that it probably wasn't the best thing to say. "You can't say nothing happened."
Hunter: Sighing quietly, Hunter laid back on the bed and sniffled again, staring up at the ceiling. "I know," he mumbled. "I'm just really stressed out about schoolwork."
Sebastian: Sebastian quirked an eyebrow curiously, shrugging. "Then pay someone to do it for you? You're doing way too many things. There's no way you can keep it all up.
Hunter: Hunter shook his head and glanced over at Sebastian. "No, this is going towards my future. I want to be in control of it," he sighed. "I can do it. I just have to try harder."
Sebastian: Sebastian hummed and nodded, but looked skeptical. "You do realize you won't have a future at all if you keep this up, right? Because it's pretty obvious."
Hunter: Dropping his gaze from Sebastian, he turned on his side and shut his eyes again. "You don't get it. I need to be in control of something."
Sebastian: Sebastian frowned slightly at Hunter's words but tried not to let it show, tilting his head questioningly. "Why is that? I mean, you're in control of Sera. That counts, right?"
Hunter: "Not really," Hunter muttered, biting his lower lip. "I only take care of her. She pretty much does whatever." He paused for a moment before continuing, "I need to be in control of this because everything else is already out of my control."
Sebastian: "Well, it's not like you can control the things you need and so," Sebastian pointed out. "I mean, I only stay up at night because I got used to it after not sleeping for a few weeks and only falling asleep in the morning. You're not going to suddenly be able to study twenty-four-seven."
Hunter: "I know that," Hunter grumbled quietly. "But I'm behind because I kept skipping and falling asleep in class over the past two weeks since that stupid game and nightmares kept me up all night."
Sebastian: Sebastian's eyebrows shot up at Hunter's words and he held back a snort. "Okay, that. You could've just asked me to look under your bed, you know."
Hunter: At Sebastian's teasing, Hunter groaned and pulled the pillow over his head. "Shut up," he growled. "That's not the problem." But he didn't elaborate in favor of trying to get his head to stop throbbing.
Sebastian: Sebastian bit his lip to keep himself from laughing at Hunter, instead nodding with a hum. "So...? What is the problem?"
Hunter: "Didn't you hear me the first time?" Hunter sighed, peering out from under the pillow. "I'm drowning in schoolwork and it's stressing me out."
Sebastian: "Hey, don't get so defensive, roommate guy," Sebastian replied with an eyeroll. "Seriously, I was just asking. Maybe you were going to tell me a dirty secret I could use for blackmail."
Hunter: "Well, don't hold your breath," Hunter muttered. "I don't think I'll be telling you that any time soon." Then he buried his head under the pillow again and continued mumbling also inaudibly. "Besides, you already have blackmail material."
Sebastian: Sebastian didn't really hear what Hunter was saying but he just shrugged it off, flopping down on his bed. "Do you need anything else? Like, I could wake Sera for you, and maybe Sonic would want to join in or whatever."
Hunter: Hunter shook his head and mumbled, "No, thanks. Let them be happy or whatever." He stayed like that for a little before lifting his head above the pillow and lying on his back, keeping his eyes squeezed shut and groaning quietly at the discomfort in his head.
Sebastian: Sebastian nodded once and took his phone from his back pocket, checking out some of the social networks apps. After a while, though, he glanced at Hunter to find him the same way as before and sighed, standing up. He turned off the lights to their room and laid down beside Hunter, wrapping an arm around him and whispering, "Shut up."
Hunter: All the thoughts that were bouncing around in Hunter's head seemed to scream in the quiet room. He was only drawn back to reality when he felt Sebastian lie down and wrap an arm around him. He didn't say a word, just exhaled softly and--though he would never admit it--leaned against Sebastian a bit.
Sebastian: Sebastian could notice the - albeit slight - difference in Hunter's posture. He didn't mention it, though, instead whispering, "My brother can be a real idiot sometimes, but he still wasn't like that when he said that hugs can solve pretty much anything."
Hunter: Hunter kept his eyes shut as he listened to the sound of Sebastian's soft words. "I suppose so," he murmured quietly, burrowing his face further into the pillow.
Sebastian: Sebastian rolled his eyes again, shifting to lay more comfortably. "You were supposed to thank me, but I'll let it go this time."
Hunter: In response, Hunter just made a soft noise of acknowledgement, trying his best to block out the noise in his mind. All the while, he involuntarily pressed further into Sebastian's embrace.
Sebastian: Sebastian noticed Hunter's small movement but still didn't say anything. Instead, he pressed closer to Hunter himself, brushing his lips against the back of Hunter's neck. "Relax," he whispered, "You're awfully tense."
Hunter: Another soft noise emanated from Hunter's throat as he unclenched his fists and tried to relax his muscles. An unnoticeable shiver ran all across his skin at the feeling of Sebastian's lips against his neck, which helped relieve a bit of tension.
Sebastian: Sebastian pressed his lips to Hunter's neck a bit more insistently, but not actually kissing him. "I'd give you a massage but I know it wouldn't end well."
Hunter: Hunter exhaled quietly and murmured, "Mm, if you say so." And then, a little softer, he added, "This is nice enough, thanks." His breathing slowed gradually as he became a little calmer, though his head still pained him greatly.
Sebastian: "Just stop whining," Sebastian murmured back, sighing as he started to press kisses to whatever he could reach of Hunter's collar. He raised his other hand to Hunter's hair, massaging his scalp slowly despite his previous words.
Hunter: Hunter shifted to accommodate Sebastian when he felt the kisses against his skin. He exhaled a little louder and hummed at the hand in his hair, which was doing a fairly good job of distracting him from his thoughts.
Sebastian: Sebastian kept moving his hand soothingly, doing his best to keep Hunter from thinking anything he would regret. After a few moments of inner discussion on whether he should do so, he couldn't resist running his tongue over Hunter's skin just for a quick moment.
Hunter: Hunter basically melted under Sebastian's touch as his mind began to clear of all the destructive thoughts. But when he felt the other boy's tongue on his skin, he drew in a sharp breath, letting it out as soon as he had stopped.
Sebastian: "Are you feeling any better?" Sebastian asked quietly, smirking to himself at Hunter's reactions. He didn't stop, though, fingers still running over Hunter's scalp as he brushed his lips against his skin.
Hunter: Nodding a bit, Hunter murmured, "Yeah, a little." He leaned up into the touch to his hair and pressed his skin closer to Sebastian's lips. "Just keep it up," he sighed.
Sebastian: "Alright, boss," Sebastian teased. He shifted to get a better angle as he kissed Hunter's neck, brushing his teeth against the skin, wet from his kisses.
Hunter: Hunter let Sebastian do as he pleased, since the older male knew more about this kind of thing than him. Eventually, he rolled over so that he was facing Sebastian, instead of having his back to him.
Sebastian: Sebastian hummed his approval for Hunter's actions and shifted to straddle him, kissing up his neck and jaw. "You have a pretty good skin," he murmured.
Hunter: When Sebastian shifted to straddle him, Hunter didn't protest. At his words, he replied softly with, "Thanks...?" He wasn't really sure how to respond to anything, so he just let his instinct take over.
Sebastian: "You're welcome." Sebastian started to press open mouthed kisses to Hunter's jaw while he raised his other hand to Hunter's hair.
Hunter: Hunter's mouth fell open a bit as Sebastian kissed his jaw. Sighing, he tilted his head to give the boy a better angle to his skin as he draped his arms around his middle.
Sebastian: Sebastian barely noticed Hunter's arms around him, too caught up on kissing the boy's skin. He wasn't really expecting things to be any good, but he had to admit that this was at least entertaining.
Hunter: As much as Hunter would deny it if asked, he was kind of enjoying the way Sebastian kissed his skin. In fact, he became so dazed by it that he placed a hand on Sebastian's chin and tilted his face so that he could lean in and kiss his lips.
Sebastian: Sebastian couldn't deny that he was startled by Hunter kissing him, but he didn't protest, instead kissing Hunter back eagerly, hands on his hair pulling him even closer.
Hunter: Hunter couldn't explain what led him to kiss Sebastian. All he knew is that he really wanted to, so he did. He tightened his arms around Sebastian's middle and pressed close to him, kissing him the way he had the times before.
Sebastian: Sebastian lowered a hand to the back of Hunter's neck as he deepened the kiss slightly, lips pressing harder against Hunter. He wanted to do more, he wanted to do everything , but knowing that Hunter didn't stopped him from trying.
Hunter: Sighing into the kiss, Hunter rested his arms comfortably around Sebastian, drumming his fingers along the male's spine lightly. He let him deepen the kiss as he pleased, not about to fight against him on this.
Sebastian: Sebastian couldn't resist nipping on Hunter's upper lip as they kissed, all too happy with himself for the change in Hunter's mood. He traced Hunter's lips with his tongue before pulling away, kissing his jaw as he regained his breath.
Hunter: A smile twitched on Hunter's lips as Sebastian nipped his upper lip. But when he pulled away, Hunter panted for air and gladly let him continue where he had left off when kissing his jaw.
Sebastian: Sebastian could notice how much Hunter seemed to like all of this so he didn't stop, fingers caressing Hunter's hair as his lips slid over Hunter's skin, then pressed them back to Hunter's again with a hum.
Hunter: Hunted eagerly kissed Sebastian back, not having the strength to try and hide how much he wanted to kiss him. As he kissed, Hunter absentmindedly traced random patterns on Sebastian's lower back.
Sebastian: Sebastian smiled softly to himself when he felt Hunter kissing back, sighing into the kiss as he gently ran his fingers through Hunter's hair.
Hunter: Feeling the twitch of Sebastian's lips against his made Hunter smile a bit as well. He didn't know at all why he liked kissing this boy. It wasn't like he was falling for him or anything--at least, that's what he told himself. Regardless, he liked that it relaxed him enough to stop all of his thoughts.
Sebastian: Sebastian didn't stop kissing Hunter this time, instead letting their lips linger against the other's for as long as possible. Even then, he still kept their faces close after he broke the kiss, feeling Hunter's breathing mingle with his own.
Hunter: Hunter hummed quietly into the kiss, just letting Sebastian know that he was enjoying it. He really didn't want to stop, but the need for air became too great. He panted for breath once Sebastian parted the kiss, then rested his forehead against the other boy's.
Sebastian: Sebastian licked his lips as he let his hand move down to cup Hunter's cheek, thumb stroking the skin slowly.
Hunter: Leaning into Sebastian's touch, Hunter opened his eyes and rested his hand at the nape of his neck.
Sebastian: Sebastian leaned down to peck Hunter's lips again, then brushed his nose against the boy's. "If you're not better yet, I don't know what else I'm supposed to do."
Hunter: "Mm," Hunter hummed, toying with the hair at the nape of Sebastian's neck. "M'tempted to tell you that I'm not better just so you'll kiss me again." He chuckled quietly with a light blush and pressed a little closer as he admitted, "But I am better."
Sebastian: Sebastian laughed along with Hunter and nodded, giving him an eskimo kiss. "Well," he started, "I wouldn't kiss you if I didn't want to, so I can't see why it shouldn't happen again."
Hunter: Shrugging a little, Hunter sighed and shifted to rest his head in the crook of Sebastian's neck. "Maybe in a little," he murmured. "I need to catch my breath."
Sebastian: Sebastian smiled slightly and nodded, turning his head to kiss Hunter's hair, "Okay," he replied, "Just don't worry. I'll keep Slenderman away."
Hunter: Hunter buried his face in Sebastian's neck as he groaned quietly. "I hate you," he said with a quiet laugh, humming against his skin.
Sebastian: Sebastian chuckled quietly, shaking his head. "No, you don't," he teased, "You like kissing me far too much for that."
Hunter: "I know," Hunter murmured quietly with a sigh, just staying close to Sebastian as he spoke. "But I really should. I should hate you. And I shouldn't like kissing you either."
Sebastian: Sebastian raised an eyebrow at Hunter's words, curious. "Is that so? Why? I'm a great kisser, that can't be denied."
Hunter: Hunter nodded softly and shut his eyes as he tried to formulate his words. "I know you are, but somewhere in my head, it just doesn't feel right. The only way I can kiss you is if my brain shuts up long enough for me to do it."
Sebastian: "Then maybe you should try doing it more often," Sebastian suggested, only partially joking. "I mean, it'll get your brain to shut up or whatever."
Hunter: "Yeah, maybe we should," Hunter muttered as he opened his eyes. He looked out into the darkness, contemplating whether or not he meant it before glancing up at Sebastian. "I mean, if you want."
Sebastian: Sebastian shifted slightly to get a better look at Hunter, frowning slightly. "What do you mean?" he asked, though mostly just to check if Hunter meant what he thought.
Hunter: Blushing lightly, Hunter bit his lower lip. "We should do this more often," he said softly. "I mean, it helps me de-stress, and it's kind of nice."
Sebastian: Sebastian nodded once then shrugged. "I don't mind. I like kissing you, so it's far from a bad thing."
Hunter: Hunter turned his face so he could see Sebastian better and study his expression. "Really?" he asked quietly, wanting to know if Sebastian was serious. Hunter hadn't kissed anyone before Sebastian, so he really didn't think he was all that good.
Sebastian: "Yeah. I don't see why not," Sebastian replied, shifting closer to Hunter and kissing the corner of his lips. "You're good looking."
Hunter: Smiling a little at the kiss, Hunter settled beside Sebastian again. "Good to know, then," he sighed, nuzzling the boy's jaw. "I mean, you're the only person I've ever kissed, so I didn't expect to be any good, especially since you're you."
Sebastian: Sebastian hummed, smiling softly at Hunter's actions. "You're not exactly a bad kisser, you know. You're different from what I'm used to, that's all."
Hunter: Hunter tucked his head under Sebastian's chin and kissed his collarbone lightly. "Mm, thanks," he murmured with a quiet sigh. "At least that's one thing I'm kind of good at, I guess."
Sebastian: Sebastian wrapped both arms around Hunter's waist, tilting his head to brush his lips against Hunter's hair. "You're good at moping," he teased, "And I think you'd be good in bed."
Hunter: Chuckling dryly, Hunter nodded and mumbled, "Moping takes a lot of practice." He kept his arms around Sebastian's middle and pulled him closer. "I don't know about that though."
Sebastian: Sebastian snorted, then pulled away slightly to gaze down at Hunter, watching his expression carefully. "You'll find out, eventually. But I'm good at reading people, especially when it comes to this."
Hunter: Humming softly, Hunter just shrugged and glanced up at Sebastian. "If you say so, I suppose," he said with a sigh. "If I want to find out within the next year or so, I'll let you know."
Sebastian: Sebastian chuckled, shaking his head. "Not exactly what I meant, but I wouldn't complain." He bumped his knee against Hunter's then hooked a leg around the boy's. "You wouldn't be boring if you were like this more often, you know."
Hunter: "Right," Hunter murmured with a nod, the heat flooding to his cheeks. When Sebastian repositioned his leg, Hunter allowed him to do so, then hooked his other foot around Sebastian's. "What do you mean by 'more like this'?" he asked curiously.
Sebastian: Sebastian shrugged, a hand wandering to Hunter's hip, fingers tracing the waistband of his pants. "You're usually really uptight and you'll bitch about everything, but now you just seem kind of calm, you know? It's nice."
Hunter: Hunter nodded in understanding and smiled a little. "I know," he sighed, leaning into Sebastian's touch a bit. "I don't mean to be. I just don't notice, I guess. I'm always stressed and it just sucks."
Sebastian: Sebastian kissed Hunter's cheek with a hum, then said, "If it helps, I don't think you're doing all that bad. Sure, you need some effort, but everyone does. Stressing yourself isn't going to help, though."
Hunter: Sighing tiredly, Hunter smiled a bit, but only for a moment. "Hm, thanks, but I'm pretty bad about it. I can't help it. It all just stresses me out. It's never good enough," he muttered, when he really meant to say, 'I'm never good enough.'
Sebastian: Sebastian shifted again, face close to Hunter's as he muttered, "Shut up," then didn't hesitate on pressing another kiss to his lips.
Hunter: When Sebastian kissed him again, Hunter didn't protest at all. He just leaned against Sebastian and kissed him back gently.
Sebastian: Sebastian pressed as close to Hunter as possible while he deepened the kiss, eyes falling shut. He sighed, hand stroking Hunter's hip, and parted his lips slightly to run his tongue over Hunter's lips.
Hunter: Hunter leaned into Sebastian, especially at the touch to his hip. When he felt Sebastian's tongue against his lips, he smiled a bit and parted his lips in invitation.
Sebastian: Sebastian was more than glad to push his tongue past Hunter's lips, humming as their lips slid against each other's smoothly, tongues entangling.
Hunter: When Sebastian pushed his tongue inside Hunter's mouth, Hunter gladly countered his movements. He kept his arms firmly around the other boy's waist as he grasped the back of his shirt.
Sebastian: Sebastian moaned quietly as he felt Hunter responding to the kiss, pressing their lips together harder. He slid a hand under Hunter's shirt, fingers tracing his skin gently.
Hunter: Hunter moaned softly as well, just humming in approval as he held Sebastian close. He tugged at Sebastian's shirt and sighed into the kiss.
Sebastian: Sebastian pulled away from the kiss after not too long, panting as he brushed his lips against Hunter's. He let his hand wander up Hunter's shirt, stroking his side slowly.
Hunter: Panting softly after the parted, Hunter pressed close into Sebastian's touch. He sighed quietly and kissed the corner of Sebastian's mouth as he smiled a bit.
Sebastian: Sebastian chuckled at Hunter but soon stopped, kissing down Hunter's jaw and neck. He didn't go lower, though, instead pressing open mouthed kisses to his skin.
Hunter: Hunter let out a soft breath as he felt Sebastian kiss his neck, and he tilted his head instinctively to give him a better angle.
Sebastian: Sebastian hummed in approval at Hunter and brushed his teeth against Hunter's skin. He then latched onto his neck, sucking on it as best as he could in their position.
Hunter: When he felt Sebastian's teeth against his skin, Hunter shivered and let his eyes fall shut. He drew in a sharp breath when the boy began sucking on his neck and moaned at the feeling.
Sebastian: As soon as Sebastian heard Hunter's moan he started to suck harder, even more confident now that he knew Hunter was comfortable with this.
Hunter: Feeling the pressure intensify, Hunter panted heavily and tightened his grip on Sebastian's shirt. He wasn't sure what Sebastian was doing, since his mind was filled with this sort of desirous haze, but he knew he really liked it, whatever it was.
Sebastian: Only once Sebastian was sure that he'd left a mark on Hunter's neck he stopped sucking, instead running his tongue over the tender skin then pulling away to blow cool air over it.
Hunter: When Sebastian released, Hunter relaxed as well, keeping his eyes shut as he tried to catch his breath. He swallowed thickly as he leaned forward against the boy.
Sebastian: Sebastian got a glimpse of the mark he'd left on Hunter's neck through the dim moonlight emanating from the window, smirking to himself. "You're really damn hot, you know."
Hunter: "Mm, thanks," Hunter murmured, hiding his face in Sebastian's shoulder. He carefully brought a hand up to the spot on his neck, lightly moving it to graze the mark, biting his lip at the slight pain. "What did you do?" he asked quietly, his head still fairly clouded.
Sebastian: "Nothing," Sebastian murmured despite his mischievous grin. He kissed Hunter's forehead then pulled him close, resting his head on top of Hunter's. "Just sleep."
Hunter: Hunter yawned a bit despite himself, then cuddled closer to Sebastian, placing his arms around the boy's waist and under his shirt hesitantly.
Sebastian: Sebastian chuckled softly at Hunter's actions and just stayed close to him, shutting his eyes. "You can grope me if you want, you know," he teased.
Hunter: "Mmh, shut up," Hunter muttered, hiding his face in Sebastian's chest. But still, he pulled Sebastian closer, wrapping his arms around him so that his hands rested on opposite sides. In pulling him so close, he inadvertently pressed their entire bodies together.
Sebastian: Sebastian laughed to himself at Hunter's words but didn't protest at his actions, instead just keeping his arms around Hunter. He leaned down to kiss the top of Hunter's head and murmured, "Good night, roommate guy."
Hunter: Hunter took a deep breath, then exhaled with a tired sigh. He pressed a kiss to Sebastian's chest and settled in his arms before murmuring back, "Good night, Sebastian."
Hockey gives you a pretty kick-ass immune system too since rinks are kept under a frosty 30. It’s kind of awesome. I’ll take a free day every now and then, but mostly- healthy as a horse.
Huh. That's pretty cool. I've been meaning to look into sports, but I've just gotten too busy with other things. Maybe check out hockey sometime, although, I don't think it's really my kind of game.
