Hook collapsed with you barely conscious in his arms as he boarded the Jolly Roger, falling to his knees on the wooden deck.
“Smee!,” he cried out, clinging to your body. Smee came scrambling over frantically.
“Oh dear. oh dear.” He muttered, looking over the situation. Hook’s face was pale with worry as he glanced from you to Smee.
“What can you do?”
Smee pushes his spectacles back up to his face and pondered for a moment. He took to long as Hook grabbed him by the scruff of his shirt and glared at him.
“T-tiger lily’s medicine, cap’n.”
With shaky hands, he pointed to the captain’s quarters. Hook quickly stood and rushed over.
“James?” You weakly called out, shivering from the pain.
He gently laid you down on the velvet bed while Smee frantically looked around the cabin for the vial of medicine. Your eyes fluttering closed from the poison draining your energy.
“Don’t worry, darling. I’ve got you.”
He whispered, gently stroking your hair. Time seemed to slow to a painful pace as every second ticked by.
“Here!” Smee called out, holding up the small vial. Heart racing, Hook immediately dashed over and snatched it from Smee’s trembling hand. He hurried over back to the bedside and knelt down, pulling the cork from the vial with his teeth and spitting it to the floor.
With a tender touch, he lifted your chin and poured the shimmering liquid into your mouth. Anxiously, Hook held your hand in anticipation as he waiting the medicine to work. Slowly, you stirred and looked over to meet his gaze.
“Y-you saved me. W-why?”
The pirate’s cold heart melted when you gave a tiny reassuring smile. His free hand moved to gently caress your cheek, eyes softening when he saw how much better you were.
“You have a heart of gold worth saving. I’d die if it meant keeping you safe.”
the sirens wouldnt even have to sing beautiful or anything. id still come over to the shallows and rocks to see whats up see whats happening. whats all going on
