Bluebell and the Goblin Bung pt. 2

Bluebell lived inside the trunk of the Great Tree in Forest Magic, a place known for its unicorns, gnomes and all kinds of creatures that could survive the Great Autumn, a bit of time (which even began in an autumn season) to which normal people referred to the decay of the Magical Age and, consequently, the gradual extinction of all magical beings.

The Big Tree was as tall as a five-story building and as old as humanity itself, yet as beautiful as the most beautiful dreams one man could ever have. To exist in Forest Magic and survive the feeling of being trapped, Bluebell could find some food there if she tried unless her spirit of protection and pet of the witch family, the owl Rainbow, took care of it.

The owl Rainbow took great care of its keeper since she was born; Rainbow used to help her mother change Bluebell’s diapers, give the child the milk bottle when it was out of reach of the magical lady, mark the passage of lullabies when it was time to sleep, among other things. Now, the owl, besides giving her food when the little girl was hungry, helped her to endure loneliness by offering her its enigmatic and warm company.

Bluebell, then, was a blessed girl with great joy and fullness and her destiny as a witch was among the stars. However, her neighbors (and Bung, the goblin himself) did not think the same way.

BLUEBELL AND THE GOBLIN BUNG - pt. 1

Once upon a time, there was a little girl born from a witch family who used to live in the forest. Her name was as exquisite and beautiful as her face: Bluebell.  

Bluebell was a short girl, had rose creamy lips and a long golden thin hair, which carried a beautiful immortal lotus flower wherever she would go; her mother cast a spell on the lotus flower as a proof of her unbreakable and eternal love, as her last words said: ‘no matter what happens, I’ll be always near’.

When in spring, Bluebell used to love the waves of the wind getting interlocked in her golden network of hair, and from time to time she tried to feel the flower in her hair just to make sure that it was still there despite the force of the wind that hit the forest.

Her dimples were adorned with tattoos with the shape of the moon; when in winter, her nose used to turn into a shy red, a color that combines with her old wristbands made of leather.

Bluebell became an orphan when she was only 4 years old. She was born blind, without having the power of Sight (in her family, they used to call it in that way for they believed it was actually a true power). For this reason, she’d never met the world and never could cast a spell even if she were in danger; in the latter case, she’d cast a protection spell and wait anxiously for her enemy to leave her.

She’d never met the magic she was predetermined to acquire since she was born from wizards, even nor she’d never seen the lotus flower that joined her in every step of her adventures discovering the world while touching the different surfaces of the woods.

Nonetheless, her day to day life was about to change.

Dark was the night, embracing the lonesome streets with its uncertainty.

Their lighthearted bodies appeared from the shadows, waiting to see the first shooting star outlining its way across the sky. They had been walking not so very far from home when they decided to step into the wide field full of wet cozy grass of a deserted park, such as those intended for the childhood, in excitement, but taking care to not to frighten the celestial bodies, in hopes of capturing the magic of the moment for themselves.

Full of love, he grabbed her hand in the most gentle way she would ever know in her life while smiling with mirth at the flash of the first shooting star. She joins him in his joy. What a beautiful coincidence destiny has gifted us, she thought for herself while giving her sight to the stars.
