Happy ‪International Museum Day‬. Rauschenberg’s monumental work “The ¼ Mile or 2 Furlong Piece” will be the center of UCCA Beijing’s upcoming exhibition Rauschenberg in China. Totaling approximately 1,000 feet in length, the work functions as a “self-contained retrospective” featuring techniques, materials and motifs utilized by the artist throughout his career, and referencing past series including: Combines, Cardboards and Gluts. Opening at The Ullens Center for Contemporary Art on June 12.
