I am Castiel, angel of the Lord. I've had the high honor of aiding and befriending Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers whose love saved the world.

Dean will always put Sam before anyone. Myself obviously included. 

Anyone that doesn’t understand that does not know Dean very well. He may consider those close family, but the love he has for his brother is incomparable.

I've long since realized my errors in calling the bond Dean and I have more profound than the one I have with Sam. 

I hadn't heard his prayers, I admit...Originally I had thought it was his blood.

But the prayers of those without souls are not heard. And that was my fault... 

The fact that some people use that mistake as a basis to assume Dean and I are in a romantic partnership?  It is unsettling.

Gabriel... It's very good to see you. ... But... what 'lover' are you referring to?

Bonds that defy Heaven and Hell are often alluded to in poetry and prose...In lore and in legend. 

None of them, in all that my Father has created, could be more literal or more stirring than the love story Sam and Dean Winchester share.

It is a shame to see so many people judging those who support Sam and Dean's unique relationship. 

I've done so many things that deserve harsher judgement, I've hurt so many people. There is a world full of injustice that deserves more ire and attention that hating and spitting on those who support love. 

Love is love, wherever it is found, and it's one of my Father's most precious gifts. Don't scorn it for petty reasons.

Dean is a man with troubles, of course. But his capacity to love extends beyond every muscle, bone, and cell. His love is fierce and commanding and without apology. 

He has room to love many, but he would not burn bright without Sam to fuel the fire. 

Why would I desire to snuff out something so transcending? 

I am in fear and awe of Dean's love, and to desire or expect it for myself would be as prideful and dangerous a sin as Lucifer committed before the fall.

Do you ever keep in touch with your wife Daphne?

I cannot say I keep in touch. I think it's better for her to avoid contact with me. 

I do check in on her, if I can afford to. Last time I had checked, she remarried. I hope this one will have a happier ending than ours did.

Castiel, weren't you and Meg a thing, anyways?

I very much like to think we had something special. Had she not been ...killed, I believe something more would have developed. 

It is what I hoped for, at least. She, despite her flaws, showed a real depth of kindness one would never expect for a demon. Even her dark parts had a sense of beauty to them .

I miss her.

Do you or Sam suffer from Cage madness anymore? How has breaking down affected your relationship with him and Dean?

I believe it has affected Sam more than it has me. Not only was he truly the one in the cage, but he was there for a much longer time, without an anchor to pull him back. His pain was sharper... I am sure the scars will be with him forever. And knowing some of what he went through, I would like nothing better than to take them myself. 

Sam Winchester does not deserve the pain he often faces. 

I am lucky that Meg stayed at my side. I could not have made a recovery without her. 

I think Dean has forgiven me for what I've done, if only because Sam has. Things will not be the same between Dean and I ever again, and I've no doubt of this. It's another set of scars caused by my hand, that I must deal with.

Truthfully, I find the prospect of having intercourse with Dean to be both awkward and very unpleasant.

Are Sam and Dean aware that you know and support their relationship? It's important for people to know they have allies on their side.

I have mentioned it- Accidentally, before I understood their desire for discretion - from time to time. Dean prefers not to talk about it, but Sam is somewhat more open.  I try to show my support through understanding and actions......Such as remembering to knock in times that they choose to rent a king sized bed in hotels.

I remember a time when Heaven enjoyed joking about Dean and Sam. About how close they were. 

It was something I could never understand. We...Along with Azazel and his demons, were partially to blame, after all.

When did you first learn about Sam and Dean's more-than-brotherly relationship?

I learned shortly after I learned about Sam and Dean’s existence, which is to say, sometime before Sam and Dean fully had the ability to grasp the depth of their love for one another. When it became clear that they were on path to fulfill their destiny, it became clear that their souls were bonded as they were destined to be as well.

I don't really understand where some people get the notion that Dean and I are romantically involved.  While we once shared a more profound bond than Sam and I, many things have since changed. 

I feel close to both of them, but romantically? Of course not. 

And Dean's love for Sam is without measure- We've discussed it at length in Heaven.

....to see so many of you appreciate the love that Dean and Sam share.
