This week on the blog we bring you another pattern feature with the Kochi Kimono by Papercut Patterns. The Kochi has multiple ties to create a variety of looks so it can be worn tied, open or even tucked into high waisted bottoms.

Fabric // Daisy from HQ chose one of her fav Liberty Tana Lawn prints “Alma” in a red colourway from the online store. This colourway is now sold out but is available in a purple colourway in-stores and the online store here. Linen or cotton would be great for spring/summer versions which means it could be paired with merino base layers in winter. You could also choose a wool blend like Liberty Lantana for something a little warmer when the weather starts to cool down. Below are a few fabric alternatives (picture in the fabric stack above).

Pattern // Daisy made this pattern up in the medium and loves the slightly oversized fit. She left off the pockets this time but plans to make it up in linen next with pockets. It was super easy to follow and could even be lengthened for a kimono style dress! Voila! We love this super simple pattern and have been dreaming it up in silk organza and metallic jacquards. Daisy suggests wearing it open over a tee for an effortlessly stylish look or layering it up over merino base pieces to stay warm in winter.
