puss  tested  the  heavy  ropes  binding  him  from  head  to  toe,    tumbling  around  in  the  grass  to  no  avail.      his  sword  was  taken  from  him.      it  was  clear  that  he  was  in  deep  cat  litter  -----  at least,    for now.      he  elected  to  bring  his  focus  back  on  the  ruler  of  duloc,    standing  among  his  guards  just  a  few  feet  away.      naturally,     he  had  a  sudden  plan.
