Protestors in Hong Kong waved American Flags and Sang the American National Anthem while standing up to the tyranny of the CCP and the corrupt Hong Kong Police force. Meanwhile actual Americans are sitting around taking their freedom for granted and doing nothing to support their brothers and sisters in Hong Kong. The people of Hong Kong are fighting for their rights and the global community is doing nothing. No sanctions, no denouncements, nothing. The world is sitting back and watching because they're too scared to do anything, and to make matters worse companies are actively censoring anyone brave enough to speak out because they're too afraid to lose the profits they earn from dealing with the oppressive Chinese regime. This isn't right. Someone with the Authority and power to make a difference has to do something before it's too late. I refuse to sit back and watch tyranny win.

My Dabi Theory

Listen here is my extremely spicy take that is definitely going to be canon:

Dabi is a Todoroki and he remembers his past but not the actual scar inciting incident. He basically just woke up in a ditch one day half dead looked at himself and was like "given the information I have I'm gonna assume my dad did this and left me for dead but jokes on him cuz now I get to leave" and just fucking peaces out.

When it does get revealed he's just like "ya lol so what"

Shoto: I thought you were dead

Dabi: not a whole lot different from what I got going on now tbh

Im like 90% sure Endeavor burned him alive and then was like "oh shit" and just left him in a ditch somewhere for dead and told everyone he ran away.

Dabi not remembering the actual incident but not being surprised is awesome too. be like:

Endeavor: omg i thought i killed you

Dabi: ah so you did try to kill me. *shrugs* makes sense

You guys ever think about the fact that Dabi KNOWS he’s weak? Like... he has ALWAYS known???

It’s undoubtable that if his body could withstand his flames that he’d be strong as fuck, but because of the fact it can’t, he has no choice but to limit himself.

And he KNOWS it.

And I’m SAD.

The worst is that he knows he's killing himself by doing what hes doing. He probably knows he will likely die doing this, and he's doing it anyway.

He probably knows hes so weak that if and when he fights Endeavor he stands very little chance of walking out of it alive, especially if he goes in there alone. He knows that he isnt resistant to fire, so when he fights Endeavor he'll be burned by both his flames and Endeavor's. He knows he'll be hurt very badly, and could very likely die from these injuries.

Its fuckin sad as fuck. He knows he's dying but hes doing it anyway

Dabi got his scars because he wanted to be like Endeavor.

Almost every MHA fan knows the fan theory of Dabi is Todoroki Tōya, it’s so well known that it’s got to be the most famous fan theory in MHA. Due to the the popularity of this theory, I won’t go into the detail of how and why Dabi is Todoroki Tōya, but how he got his scars.

Before you keep reading, I do warn there are some spoilers.

Today, as I was watching older episodes, I realized something I hadn’t noticed before, the location of Dabi’s scars. As we the viewer knows, Dabi has five visible scars. One on each eye, and arms, and a large one on his jaw/neck. On closer inspection, you realize that the scars (no doubt burn scars) are located on places where Endeavor has his flames. For asthetics, Endeavor keeps his flames on his face and his arms. My theory is that young Todoroki Tōya wanted to impress his father, or maybe he wanted to be like him, so he tried to copy Endeavor. We know from the manga that Tōya’s firepower is greater than Endeavor’s, but he inherited his mother’s weak constitution, which is why Endeavor deemed him a failure. What could have happened is that, Tōya attempted to use his flames to look like his father, but since his flames are hotter, and he’s weak, he burned himself. It’s also, possible that it’s after this incident that Endeavor realized Tōya is a failure, and Dabi ran away because of this.

Again this is only a fan theory, and I’m possibly wrong, but the location of Dabi’s burns can’t be a mere coincidence.

I... Do not like how Endeavor is looking at him in that picture... Stop looking at him like that. Step away from the small, sickly child. Do not lay a finger on his head. And oh god, poor Touya looks so scared and exhausted. I don't like that, get him away from that man.

I've heard this theory before and it is uncanny how Dabi's burns are so similar to Endeavor's fire in his hero's costume. But I'm still betting money on Endeavor accidentally "killed" him during training of some sort, since Touya's used as a cautionary tale to Shouto during training.
