ă âSo, if you don't mind, I'll decline attending. Perhaps another timeâŠâ
Taking a step back from her door, Yukino stared up at the larger male with what broken smile still plastered on her soft features. It still amazed her that Sting was even talking to herâsince she rarely left her room, she hadnât spoken to many of her fellow wizards. She still felt a little out of place since she was back in SabertoothâLady Minerva had taken off after her loss to Erza during the Grand Magic Games leaving her without the source to her previous confidence. Rufus had occasionally popped in and made decent conversation, but she had always kept mostly to herself during their little so-called talks. She had been fully ready to close her door but the order from Sting had caught her by surprise.
âStop? M-Master StingâŠâ She started to speak, clearly astonished by that sudden snap. She had fully expected him to just wave her off and leave, but for him to stay and then start scolding her? It was unexpected!Â
As he began to speak, Yukino took a timid step backwards as she covered her chest with both of her hands as they interlocked. Did he really believe she wasnât a burden? Jiemma made sure to let her know each time she made the smallest fumble. âI-I am a member of Sabertooth, but IâŠâ Yukino responded, looking away from the angry blond. âI do not desire to be an embarrassment to Sabertooth once again. I already humiliated Sabertooth back in the Grand Magic Games...â
She found it rather hard to believe that he was willingly inviting her to the gathering. While she had accepted his apology during the banquet, Yukino hadnât forgotten the comments and laughter from the entire guild during her excommunication. She had been stripped naked of both her pride and her confidence in the mere minute it had taken her to bare her naked frame to every member of Sabertooth. Something like that just doesnât go away after a few daysâshe had vivid nightmares about the even and honestly felt herself growing rather emotional at the thought. Reaching up and wiping a stray tear that had formed on the edge of her eye, Yukino allowed her gloved hand to fall back to her chest as she locked eyes with him for a moment.
âMaster Sting, I ask that you please reconsiderâŠâ Yukino lamented, taking yet another step back. Yukino most definitely knew how stubborn Sting was and this was going to be yet another battle she would inevitably lose. However, she visibly flinched once that authorities tone bellowed out from his lips and she bowed her head instinctively. And there it wasâthe order to come. Yukino released a defeated sigh as she pulled her hand from her bosom and interlocked them below her waist and gave him a bow. Unable to find the willpower to argue with him, Yukino seemed to submit to his demandsâit wasnât in her nature to begin with and she couldnât bear the thought of him snapping at her. âA-As you wish, Master StingâŠâ She softly spoke, her voice nary higher than a whisper of wind.
âGive me a moment a-and I will be ready, Master Sting.â With that, she closed her door quietly and walking over to one of her dressers, Yukino plucked her elegant cape up and wrapped its large embrace around her petite frame. Brushing her silvery blue locks to the side and making sure her ebony rose had been in place, she glanced over at her reflection within the mirror that had lazily lay against the wall. A solemn, broken gaze stared back at her with resentment but she shook her head and turned away. Letâs get this over with⊠She thought to herself, attempting to disregard her nervousness. Opening her door, she saw Sting still sitting there akin to a small child whom had gotten put in time out. Her nervously furrowed brows seemed to relax for a momentâit was kind of cute how he tended to act, despite being Guild Master.
âS-Shall we?â Â She questioned, attempting to give him a smile as she took a step back in order to give him some space.
