Already happy birthday hillyhindi ! I still remember the birthday drawing I made you last year, I was so proud of it and I asked so many people to help me make it something amazing. This year I went for something diffrent; I made this drawing inspired by the stars and also by mermaids, because you really are a mermaid Hilly! I'm also watching this drama that has things to do with stars so I think that also inspired me.

i also draw alot and post on my other blog but i'm not as good as you are. especially with portraits. i always have a problem how to start drawing face. the eyes aren't the same, the nose is weird and i can't draw mouth. is there any advice od websites where i can learn this? i know that i have practise alot but i was wondering if u have any advice how to start and how to reach good results with drawing portraits. love ur art, so young and so talented. amazing. xoxo sarah

I'm not good in explaining things in English as it isn't my normal language to speak but I'll try my best; I mostly start drawing a circle (egg-shape) and than I look at every little detail of the face; how's the jawline and the chin, ... Than I draw a line at the height of the eyes and a line for the mouth, nose. You can also print the photo that you're drawing out and do some measurings with your pencil so you know the right proportions of the facial stuff like the eyes, nose, mouth. Getting the eyes to look the same is also a thing I have a lot of problems with. I mostly just keep on trying, keep on measuring, keep on drawing help lines... I just try anything to make it work. Just watch a lot of youtube videos about how to draw eyes, a nose, a mouth and another tip is that observation drawings of very good drawers (don't look at mine lol) is also easy to learn how to draw facial details. I hope this will help you a little bit! x
