▶ What is your character’s name?
Chace Layton. Although this is not his original name, Chace filed a name change at the DMV shortly after his twenty first birthday. When confronted about the uniqueness of his name, he grows uncomfortable and sticks to the story that it was his birth name. His original name is Keller Vincent Layton.
▶ How old is your character?
Chace is twenty one and is turning twenty two on September 7. Falling under the sixth sign of the zodiac, Virgo, Chace can be easily described by his sign. He is an easy-going, humble and grounded individual that tries to control his impulses. Being raised by his parents as their golden son, they shoved all of their dreams and expectations into him. However, to Chace this was one of his biggest burdens, struggling with the constant feeling that enough is never enough and that he had to constantly prove something to them. Even from an early age, he was taught to be respectful and considerate and he has decided to hold onto these values.
▶ What does your character look like?
Standing at about 5'10 and often wearing his short cut of blonde hair as a stylish mess during school days and more kept during parties. His eyes vary from dark blue to light blue, seemingly a subtle indicator to his mood. He’s got broad shoulders and lean arms and more often than not, sporting a stubble mostly because he doesn’t want to waste time shaving. He’s got a built fit, but he didn't obtain it by playing sports, it was mostly from eating healthy and his trips to the gym.
▶ How does your character dress?
On an everyday basis, Chace doesn't really care what he wears and just puts together any outfit that he thinks looks good on him. On the other hand, when he attends parties or events, he dresses to impress and enjoys the luxuries of wearing expensive clothes.
▶ What are some notable relationships your character has?
Aside from the obvious family members, Chace makes a lot of friends quickly due to his personality and spontaneity, but he never finds himself becoming extremely close to people. Because of his constant traveling and relocation, Chace has never had a best friend or someone by his side throughout his life. Being an only child, this is a very sensitive subject to him, wishing he had somebody by his side to share all of his experiences with.
▶ What is in your character’s memory?
Chace's memory bank is filled with meaningful experiences from around the world including South Africa, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Greece, Iceland, The Caribbean Islands, etc. His trips with his parents have not only moved him but have changed him into being completely open minded. From religions to sexualities, there is not a topic that Chace feels uncomfortable talking about or that he cannot touch. From backpacking, to couch surfing, to hitchhiking, to mountain biking, Chace's memory is cluttered with spectacular experiences, more than he can even remember which is why he keeps his travel journal close to him at all times to document his experiences and read back on any memory he might have skipped. Buried deep into the vault in his mind, Chace keeps the memories that kill him inside, like his love affair in Spain that developed into a long distance relationship, only to come to a heart crushing end.
▶ Where does your character live?
Trying to run from his anxiety and responsibilities, Chace fled his hometown in Miami and took several detours through the U.S., getting random jobs and making enough to continue moving from state to state until he reached Tree Hill. It caught his attention enough to decide to settle down, and it became his starting point and where he would begin to build himself. Having gotten a ridiculously great deal on a studio, he quickly accepted the offer without realizing that the reason the price was so low was because the studio resided above a night club. A night club that goes on for all hours of the night, blasting music and has become the hotspot of Tree Hill, that all its residents know as Tric.
▶ What is your character’s room like?
Being a studio, Chace's room is small, but with a little creativity and carpentry, his small studio transformed into a place he can call home and was not as cluttered giving him enough space to breathe. Upon entering his room, there is an enormous world map on the wall to the right with white pins on all of the places he has been.

▶ What is your character good at?
Chace has always been a great writer, keeping logs of all his travels and writing small short stories on his spare time. He excels in just about all the spontaneous activities that he does including jet skiing, wave boarding and dirt biking and when it comes to becoming the best at whatever he is taught to do, his ego has no doubt that he will definitely take a seat at the top.
▶ What does your character want?
Chace longs for a partner or best friend that he can confide in and share his experiences with as well as build new ones, but above that lies a more serious problem. Uncertain of the future, Chace has a deep desire to want to know where he is going in his life and what career path he should pursuit. Feeling as though, he will be labeled by his job, he has a very difficult time figuring out what to pursue or what lies ahead of him.
▶ What does your character do when they’re not at home?
When Chace isn't home, he is engaging in outdoor activities, learning new things, or taking classes to learn new skills.
▶ How does your character love?
Aside from the obvious answer of traveling and outdoor activities, Chace has a deep admiration for loyalty. He loves the idea of someone sticking by your side no matter how hard things get. He also loves genuine people and watching someone with motivation to become somebody.
▶ What will ultimately destroy your character?
If he ever got Alzheimer's or suffered from amnesia.
