He/Him, 20-30s

Datura was born somewhere in T-Corp and is a corporist ring student who often uses torture devices and methods to make and display art (sometimes a diorama of it to showcase these torture devices/methods, sometimes a fusion of it and human). Due to him being a T-Corp citizen, he does have skills of inventing and using what he’s got.. so that’s where his innovation and creativity with machine/torture devices came from.He isn’t that masochistic nor a sadist but he does disregard the lives of the people he captures (which are a bunch of scums and horrible individuals in the backstreets) and would always strive to capture the human nature of agony x human body.

Personality wise, he seems to be a really patient, enthusiastic, optimistic person who rarely shows any negative reaction even when talked down to.

Datura tends to be a very chatty and enthusiastic individual especially when the topic of torture devices and the medieval times are mentioned. He can go for hours with no stop which results in his head getting locked with the reverse bear trap as commanded by one of the docents … 😭 but it’s either that or a stylistic choice as he thinks it makes him look presentable.

Fun facts! :  ✦ Datura has been in the ring ever since Callisto was still a corporist maestro. So there’s a good chance Callisto was his teacher at some point.

✦ His face, torso, and hands are fully prosthetic-built as he was found almost dead in the backstreets somewhere until he was found alive and for some reason was taken to the Ring.

✦  I can confirm he’d be the most pain in the ass and annoying corporist student you’d ever meet

✦ Pretty sure his eccentric behavior is due to a damage in some part of his brain from when he was severely attacked which is why he genuinely sees nothing wrong and has moral nihilism

I really like how they made Kim’s personality as someone who’s more into “doing than saying” like. He’s a really observant and silly guy whos really smart too yet tends to be laidback/“lazy” when he wants to be which gave me a relief of somewhat to know he’s not another intimidating stern character 😭

Hc: when Kim eventually regained consciousness from like weeks of distorting he didn’t like Seo-Jun and always kept his eyes away or looking at something else (Simply because seo-Jun is made out of a lot of Kim’s parts (emotionally and mentally) and he looks “weird” because his appearance is a mash-up of Kim and the deceased salsus)

yeah I like to think that when Seo-Jun first met Kim he literally called himself Kim and made him spiral to an identity crisis 😭
