âOf course, itâs all about the confidence. Itâs a very important skill. Do you want me to teach you as well?âÂ
ciarareyesâ:
âAnd here I thought it was just Nate who was really cocky out of the Poseidon kids,â Ciara joked.
âOh, please, Nate learnt it all from me. Itâs very much a learnt skill.âÂ
harmcnyfreestcneâ:
âAnd we couldnât have that,â Harmony said with a laugh, âYou know me, I wouldnât be me if I didnât keep up appearances.â
âAbsolutely not, how else would we keep our titles as favourite daughters?âÂ
clarissagoodingâ:
âProbably a monster attack,â Clary replied, smirking slightly.
âHmm, youâre right, that is a little more casual. Iâll put that down as first place.â
dawnsxfcrdsâ:
âI like you,â she grinned at Charlotteâs confession. âUhmâ of course I did,â Dawn huffed, moving aside to showcase a small selection she had swiped. âTake your pick.â
âThank you, thank you, I try.â Charlotte spoke with a laugh, putting her hand up as if she was waving to a crowd. Her eyes glanced over the toppings that Dawn had bought, widening as she looked. This was her heaven. âI think I love you. Yeah, I do.â
dawnsxfcrdsâ:
âI honestly canât believe that you thought they didnât,â Dawn looked to the other with disbelief.
âHow am I meant to know? They canât talk to tell me their feelings.âÂ
@dawnsxfcrdsâ
âI leave you alone for two seconds and youâve proven that plants have feelings.â
@ciarareyesâ
âIâm amazing, I know, you donât need to say it. I wouldnât hate it if you did, though.âÂ
christicnohcreâ:
Christian was having a sleepover with Charlotte, not like that, a just friends sleepover. The one where theyâd watch movies and talk till the late hours of the night and eventually theyâll fall asleep at three, four in the morning. This was no different. Except this time, Christian was having a particularly bad nightmare, and was awoken with a start. His heart was pounding, as his brain processed where he was. He ran his hands through his hair as he tried to calm his breathing, trying not to wake Charlotte. Though, she stirred and he sighed. âIâm sorry, Iâm sorry,â he said, pulling slightly at the ends of his hair, as if that would calm his anxiety, and she wouldnât notice. Though it was hard for him to keep anything even remotely secret from Charlotte. âI didnât mean to wake you up.â ( @charlottedawsonsâ )
Anyone who knew Charlotte knew that she was not a morning person in any capacity, which wasnât great when it was combined with being a light sleeper. That was the only reason she was ever able to stay up late when they had a sleepover, any other day she would be out usually before ten. Hearing Christian move around was more than enough to wake Charlotte out of her sleep. Her eyes opened slowly, not wanting to be awake at all, âItâs okay,â She spoke in a soft, quiet voice as she stifled a yawn. It took Charlotte a moment to realise what was happening but once it processed Charlotte knew he wasnât okay. They had been friends for so long that she could just know, she sat up, her eyes still misty from sleep and put her hand on his shoulder, âWhatâs happened?âÂ
harmcnyfreestcneâ:
âIt certainly isnât for sunbathing anyway. Imagine the tan linesâ Harmony joked, âBlue one it is. Far more appropriate for a woman with my parentage anyway.â
âIt would be even worse if you got sunburnt! I would hate trying to take a swimsuit like that off with spotty burns. Iâm sure it looks amazing on you, but I donât think you should risk itâ She reasoned with a laugh, âAbsolutely, we have to keep up appearances.âÂ
emiliasantiagoâ:
âI couldnât care less about our Uncle, heâs a big dumb-dumb floating in the sky with his stupid trench coat blowing in the wind,â Emilia said to her sister. âWe both know that our Dad is the better brother.â ( @charlottedawsonsâ )
A smile swiftly moved across Charlotteâs features, turning into a laugh. âI completely agree with you, I do, but I donât think we can judge him based on a trench coat, no matter how ugly it is.âÂ
clarissagoodingâ:
âYes, because thatâs just super casual,â she replied.
âOf course it is, weâre demigods. What could be more casual than spending the weekend at my Dadâs palace?âÂ
phoenixdavisâ:
âPlease, we both know that heâd do 1000 percent better.â
âIâd even put a higher percentage on it. Do you think if we asked nicely Zeus would pass the reigns?âÂ
harmcnyfreestcneâ:
âThe pink one was one of those one pieces that has like cut-outs so itâs practically a two piece and I looked hot in it.â
"Ah,â Charlotte nodded, the image of the bathing suit coming back to her mind, âThat one was a cute one but my only concern is if it would be comfortable enough to swim in?âÂ
dawnsxfcrdsâ:
âIf I promise to share, you promise not to rat me out as the thief?â Dawn bargained before stuffing another warm waffle in her mouth.Â
@charlottedawsonsâ
Charlotte lifted her hands up in defence, âI would never!â She promised, âIf I did that then Iâd also have to tell everyone all the times I stole, that doesnât work great for me. Now, did you grab any toppings?â
christicnohcreâ:
âCome on Charlotte, letâs please go out and enjoy the sun and heat. Itâs legit the only think I miss of Florida.â
âOkay, okay. Only for you.â Charlotte said, conceding very easily to him. She didnât know how, but he was always able to do that to her, convince her of anything, do anything. Maybe it was the eyes, Charlotte couldnât tell. âWhat did you do in Florida when it was like this?â
christicnohcreâ:Â
âI think the weather is more Zeusâ job than Apolloâs,â Christian replied. âThen again, Iâve always been shit at Greek History.â
âSee, I donât really feel like dying today and Iâm sure Zeus would find a way to get me.â She said, her tone light as she spoke in jest although Charlotte knew Zeus could find a way if she said the wrong thing. âIâm sure Apollo could take one for the team and take over for an afternoon. That way, we could actually go do something.â Charlotte spoke with a sigh, as if she had major things planned for the day that were hindered from the weather. âCan we mark today as a write off?â Â
