ok i’ve been meaning to talk about this for a long time because this fandom’s love for demonizing yukari is astounding and i’m tired? it’s not directed at anyone i just really wanna set something straight.
junpei gets pretty fucking gross with yukari. i can’t give you all the examples of all the shit he’s said to her right now because i haven’t played the game in a while and my memory is rusty, but we all know junpei isn’t some innocent kid who’s never said perverted comments and clearly made the girls uncomfortable, and yukari is no exception.
junpei doesn’t need protection. yukari has every right to be angry at him. does she go overboard sometimes? of course. she’s a harsh person, and with good reason, but she’s not perfect either and so she says especially hurtful things. now, does she really hate him? not at all. these two have known each other since eighth grade. they know each other well. hell, junpei is usually the first (and sometimes only) one to notice yukari’s change of moods. they’re friends. that’s what they do.
yukari isn’t mean to junpei for no reason.
don’t forget junpei has said his fair share of gross shit to her.
literally the fandom cares more about how yukari treats junpei than junpei himself. how many times has junpei actually lingered in a hurtful thing yukari has said, honestly? most of the fandom doesn’t even care about junpei, they just want excuses to hate yukari.
junpei doesn’t need protection from yukari. this is how they get along. they tease each other. that’s the way their friendship is.
