Daughter of a villain and a monstrous quirk? Yup. That’s Himei Sueoka! Like or reblog if you’re interested in interacting!
Himei’s bright emerald eyes followed his hands, watching once more with intrigue as her new acquaintance created small sculptures of her favorite heroes. What an interesting and powerful quirk!
Listening intently, she frowned when he mentioned how draining it could be. He really shouldn’t be showing off for her then if he was so tired…but it was probably in his nature. He seemed to be rather hyper by default.
“Ah no I don’t have an uhh ‘creativity’ quirk. Sometimes I wish I did though. My quirk is a mutation of two. My mother could read minds and my father was able to shape shift…It’s a new quirk and I call it ‘fear manifestation’. I’m able to transform into a living embodiment of someone’s fear and I gain certain abilities depending on them….Most people think it’s pretty creepy.”
"Nah not creepy at all. Now if you were turning into people's sexual desires as a quirk, that would be creepy." Karoen burst out into laughter after saying what he had just said. "I don't usually get scared that easily because I play a lot of horror games." He then made a funny brave stance to show that nothing could bring him down. Your quirk is a pretty good one and is very creative. I could see you scaring a villain, and maybe getting them to realize doing what their doing isn't a good idea. We could even figure out what's scaring the person to cause them to be a villain." Karoen explained giving Himei a reassuring smile.
Himei shook her head, his question earning a giggle from her. That would be an interesting quirk wouldn’t it? An art quirk…Something she wished for at times.
“Huh?”
Looking down at the cup in his hand, her eyes widened at the sight of the 8-bit form of Mic in the cup. Her eyes drifted back up to his face as she simply stared in awe. Before she could even get a chance to compliment him, the topic had been changed, Himei now grinning at him as she leaned back in her chair.
“Well…. It’s a bit cliche to say All Might but he is pretty cool…I guess my other favorite would be Ectoplasm….Also i’ve gotta say…Your quirk is amazing. What is it called?”
"Well I'm not sure on the official name of my quirk, I'm sure my dad would know.... I know it has to do with 8 bit squares like old video games. Like I can take foam from a latte cup and form it into any shape I can think of."
Karoen then moved his hand over Himei's cup and made both All Might and Ectoplasm together in the cup.
"Although my quirk does take metal and physical strength to actually move the thing around. Like let's say if I wanted to move this building around I couldn't because one I can pick it up, and two I'm really tired right now."
Karoen started to drift off into thought but then snapped back to face Himei again.
"That's the basics about my quirk, but enough about me. What's your quirk? Was I right about the art part? My uncle is going out with a woman who has a creativity quirk. Is it something like that?"
A heavy dusting of blush crossed Himei’s cheeks upon hearing his compliment. Her mother often did call her princess due to her name only being one letter away from the actual word. The young girl gasped upon seeing him slam his head down in embarrassment.
“Ah, it’s okay really! My name actually means shriek but my mother tends to call me Hime sometimes so you’re not wrong.”
Looking down to her sketch now that the topic had been changed, she lifted the pad and pointed to his seat.
“No, you didn’t actually. I just got started drawing this side of the cafe. Drawing scenery that I see is one of my hobbies.”
Getting up to peek at what Himei was drawing. Karoen didn't take to realize how big he was hunched over her.
"Oh! So is drawing connected to your quirk somehow? I wish I could draw that well... I can do mostly latte art, but I really couldn't do that without my quirk. Here I'll show you."
Taking a cup a latte placed on the table. Karoen swished his hand over it little squares came up to form Present Mic's face in the cup.
"Yeah. Pretty much that's as far I can go with my quirk. It takes a lot of brain power to move all those little squares around, and my dad tells me to take it slow or else it could lead to serious brain damage... Though, if you haven't noticed Present Mic is my favorite pro hero. What's yours?"
Karoen moved to sit back down to wait for an answer with a dorky smile on his face.
Himei had already taken notice of him by now, his father’s laughter pulling her attention away from her drawing. Simply too shy to go over and pull him away from the conversation he was having, she continued to sketch out the scenery before her.
What a cozy cafe….And close to the academy too! Perhaps it was time to switch from the overpriced once in downtown Tokyo and spend her off time here more. Besides, she’s already seen how kind the staff is. Looking up, Himei gave him a grin, her pencil stopping it’s movement.
“Oh yeah…Well, It’s Sueoka Himei but you can just call me Himei if you’d like.”
“Himei huh? Sounds kind of like princess. I mean... your looks really fit your name, but you probably get that a lot!”
Karoen then slammed his head onto the table in embarrassment of what he just had said. Crooking his head up slightly only to gliggle. Karoen realized he couldn’t keep his dorky jokes under check. Lifting his head up quickly soon taking not of the sketchbook in Himei’s hands.
“So what have you been drawing? I hope I didn’t leave ya hanging for too long.”
Hi there! Since these go around quickly, could you please give this post a like or a reblog if you’d be willing to interact with an Independant Shiozaki Ibara from BNHA? I’ll be sure to check your blog out!
Himei’s sniffles ceased when the mention of a disease was brought up, glassy green eyes looking up to meet bright gold ones. What was she even doing? How could she be acting so sorry for herself when others were in situations far worse then her own…..What kind of hero does that?
The familiar ringing sound of the bell startled Himei, taking his offer of help to stand. Wiping her cheeks, she nodded quietly as he spoke, her mind still reeling from everything that had been happening. Taking the paper from him, she waved as he disappeared through the door, her eyes slowly drifting to read the address. A cafe….That might be nice…
Once classes let out, Himei had returned to her dorm room, shedding her uniform and replacing it with a casual outfit consisting of shredded jeans and an oversized sweater for comfort. Picking her bag up, she set out in search of the cafe.
Despite the rushed handwriting being a challenge to decipher, the young student found herself at the doors, her breath held. Entering, Himei looked around tensely before quickly taking a seat off in a corner. Too nervous to look around and find him, she simply took out her sketchbook, waiting for him to find her.
Keeping surveillance of the entire cafe Karoen continued to wait for his new found friend while taking orders at the register. Now out of his uniform he was in a regular orange t-shirt with tan cargo shorts, with a black apron on the front. Maybe he was to forward? I mean sometimes he can be way to happy in weird situation, but in the end he just wants to make the other happy.
“Hey what’s got your mind in a twist? You’ve gotten five orders wrong at least. Someone I know feeling tired can’t pull ya out of the game.” Karoen turned his head away from the register to face his father. Karoen’s father was about a foot taller than him, and didn’t really look like he would run a cafe. Na, Karoen’s father looked more like a scary supervillain who used to have some sort of acid fedish in the past. Half of his father’s face was taken by huge scar going over his head. Kind of similar to the one on Karoen’s neck. The story behind the scars is one for a different day.
“Sorry, sorry I’m just looking for a new friend I made at school today. It was possibly the only positive thing that came about the day. And I’m starting to think she.... um SHE isn’t going to come.” Blushing at the fact his dad was rolling in laughter, and starting to tease him about how he was taking big steps in his life already. Karoens eyes scanned the cafe one more time before seeing her in the corner drawing. Bingo! She actually came!! Becoming excited Karoen flipped over the counter to go and greet her.
“Hey! did think you would actually come. Oh yes introductions!! My name is Karoen, and what's you name?” Painting, Karoen took a seat across from her.
The gentle knocking on the door alarmed her, the possibility of it being a teacher scaring her into the corner. Scooting into the corner, she watched as the door opened slowly, the familiar face worrying her. Oh no…She bumped into him moments ago and now he was probably coming to bad mouth her for it….
“Huh?”
The sight of her phone surprised her as she reached out to take it from him. Looking up at him, she took note of his smile before sniffling a bit.
“Thank you..I-I’m fine, really. I just was having a bad day is all.”
Still sitting in his squat position Karoen’s smile turns to a frown. He still stairs over at Himei. Taking in a deep breath he then looks away.
“Hey me too. I mean probably not as bad as yours, but hey when you reach the bottom the only way is up.”
pointing to the ceiling Karoen starts to blush. Starting to giggle a little bit after making the comment.
“Sorry my uncle usually spouts out cheesey stuff like that all the time. I’m almost scared his disease is starting to affect me. I think from my dad as well... Not as much though.”
Karoen then stands up extending his hand over to Himei. The class bell then rings loudly to let everyone know class has begun. Karoen flinches at the sound.
“u-uhhh.... crap!. Can’t be late! My he’ll probably crucify me!” flipping back around he continues. “I would love to know more about cha’ but we both probably need to get going to class. So just meet me at my father’s cafe after school. I mean if you can...”
Taking out a pen and paper from nowhere Karoen quickly scribbles down an address and directions quickly handing them to her.
“Hope this helps ya get there. I was good to meet ya. I hope you feel better as the day goes on!” Karoen then rushes out the door as fast as can down the hallway.
Himei had been having a particularly rough day, her worries and doubts usually manageable but today they were looming over her, whispering insults to her during quiet moments. Changing out of her track suit and into her uniform, she looked upon her arm, the dark blue color still covering the majority of it.
One day would she wake up to find that she could no longer change back? The thought terrified her as she stepped out of the locker room, tears streaming down her cheeks. Bumping into someone, she meekly mumbled an apology before rushing off, embarrassed even more now. Opening the door of the supply closet, she quickly entered in and began pawing at her eyes to staunch the flow of tears.
When Karoen got to the closet door he stopped for a moment before opening up the door. He heard sniffing, it was almost as if someone was crying. Not wanting to intrude too quickly Karoen knocked on the door twice before opening the door. Peeking in Karoen saw a female student sitting in the far corner of the room. Putting on a warm smile Karoen held out the phone he found and sitters,
"Hey just thought you might need this. Phones are always important things in today's society and stuff like that." Walking a little bit closer Karoen frowned, I know school can be hard, but is everything alright." Karoen squatted down to to come face to face with her.
"If you need someone to talk to I'm willing to listen."
Cluttered, confused and flustered Karoen made his way out of his first day of class at yuuei. Treading through the crowd of students that swarmed the hallways rushing to get necessary items for their next class. Karoen would be rushing, but he honestly didn’t have the energy to. Having to wake up at 4 in the morning now due to school to help his father prep the cafe really took all his sleeping hours. Pondering on his first class events all Karoen could remember was Present Mick screaming out everything he had to say nothing else. Maybe Mic was excited, or something. Karoen was still in his thoughts about his last period he bumped into someone.
“oh sorry” he stuttered coming out of his thoughts immediately. Before Karoen could turn around to apologize again they were already halfway down the hall heading towards the custodian’s closet. Karoen just shrugged and started to turn back he noticed the person before had dropped their phone. Realising in shock that the poor person he so carelessly bumped into might need that later on. Karoen quickly picks up the phone and rushes towards the closet they went into. ((Heh eh hope it’s good.))
