A very poorly made Cubano I made at work on a tiny sandwich press I was given as a gift!
It tasted great, but could have been better!

I tried making a steak medium rare tonight, but it came out rare.
It’s a good time to mention how much of a “I want to be a professional right away” type of person I am when it comes to new skills, and cooking isn’t exempt from this. I only started recently trying to cook more complex items, and while most of them haven’t turned out as perfect as I have wanted them, these steaks were as close to what I wanted as I have gotten in a while.
One good thing, in a string of bad things. That’s all one can ask for.
“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”
Thank you for taking us along on the adventure, Anthony Bourdain.
