Storm Coming In || Thor Odinson

Thor was on the roof in his complete armor. He looked over the edge of the roof, a part of him wanted to just jump off and free fall before catching himself and returning. There was so much on his mind, the roof seemed like the best place to be to clear his mind. However it didn’t seem to be working. He paced back and forth. One side of the roof to the other. He gripped Mjolnir tightly in his hand, his cell phone was in the other. He had started to keep it on him now a days. Just in case Jane or Darcy called for him. He needed someone to talk to, someone who was impartial. All he needed was someone to listen and maybe give some advice on his thoughts.

Recently Thor had been feeling home sick. The kind of home sick that actually made you feel sick. He didn’t have any pictures of his family, nor did he have any of Asgard. He missed his friends and he missed his father. His father was the only family that he had left. Although he was a hardened man, Thor still loved him. It was times like this that he started to question his decision to leave Asgard. It frustrated him. His home was at peace, earth was the place he needed to be, earth was the place he loved. However it didn’t stop him from feeling this way.

The frustration and conflicted feelings was most likely why there was a storm heading their way. His emotions could usually conjure up some thunder and if he didn’t get them under control soon they would have a huge storm ahead of them. That’s why he texted Pepper. She was a reasonable woman, smart too. He was sure she could talk him down, knock some sense into him. Thor would have called Jane, but he didn’t want to worry her over nothing. When he saw her enter the roof he walked over to her, meeting her in the middle. “Thank you for coming, Lady Potts.” Thor nodded to her and looked up at the sky, his hammer still in his hand. “If it isn’t too much of a bother I need some counsel.” With his free hand he pushed some of his long blonde hair out of his face. The wind was starting to pick up now. “I miss my home.” He started to explain. “I feel that I should return to Asgard, but I can’t. I shouldn’t I know I shouldn’t. I’m needed here, aren’t I?”

"Homesickness, it's a common feeling for people so far away from home...and please you can call me Pepper if you like." The emotion was familiar to her in a medley of different forms some long term and some short term. All hurt horribly and she couldn't even imagine how hard it was for Thor when his home was realms away while hers was only a plane trip away. 

"It is a difficult feeling to deal with as well, since your heart is longing for what is familiar but at the same time you know that you must grow and move on to new things."

"Personally I never wanted to leave my little home with my two parents since there I was needed more then anything, it felt like they depended on me. What was worse was making it to LA and not having a place, not knowing this big city world that was far different then my small town life. Yet when I got my position with Stark Industries it felt right, for a while, then I questioned if I should go home as well. It wasn't till Tony that I realized I was not only needed but felt at home." 

Pausing for a bit she looked at him judging his emotions as she went on. "In Asgard you were a Prince, the main warrior that defended the order of your fathers realm. You not only loved him but you felt he depended on you in many ways, yet here you don't feel the same, yes?" 

"The change is shocking to go through and your heart yearns to go back to what was safe, what was normal in routine, even if your's was great battles, and dealing with your brother. What makes a person strong is learning that letting go is the start to finding out that the worlds work differently."

"Yes, you are allowed to miss you're home and nothing can stop you from visiting it and checking in, but on Earth you have a blooming future ahead of you. It's a harsh world right now filled with dislike towards what people don't know but one day, I assure you, you will find your true reason to stay and feel that not only can you feel worthy here but maybe just maybe you will find you're own personal home away from home."

"Since I believe ever since the battle of New York, people feel that they need you, but it's not the same of feeling that you belong here. As well as two little brunettes that look up to you quiet a lot, one like a brother and the other something more. That is my advice to you Thor, and I do hope it helps you, and if you would like to ever talk about Asgard I am always here to listen to the stories of your home."

Okay I think that's a little excessive and may cause a giant security mess for the poor guards confused on whats happening. I think just a good pare of rubber gloves and a surgical mask will do just fine, and maybe a good bottle of alcohol.

For a genius, Tony remembered very little; often his brain was too full of blue-prints and ideas for his next big invention to remember what day it was. He never remembered Christmas, let alone anniversaries or birthdays. Days had never meant much to him, especially not holidays, and his last Christmas with Pepper, was, in fact, the first he’d ever celebrated. He’d made it company policy long ago for everyone to get the big holidays off if the employee themselves remembered,and usually those were the days Tony actually worked the most (even when he was CEO, Tony had been notoriously bad about coming into the office, or signing paperwork, or attending meetings, or, well, any of the more “business” parts of the business). 

He smirked slightly as Pepper began to eat; she might be putting on a mask, and it was good, but he’d known her far too long. He’d gotten this one right. Finally. “You know, I could fire if you don’t start taking breaks. I could put it in your contract. I think that’s still in my rights.” Of course, it didn’t matter who had the right to do what; his and Pepper’s relationship had never been strictly business, and it never would be. ‘Boss’ was a term they ignored quite frequently, no matter which way the word was directed. 

He waited until she had her purse and he knew she was actually walking with him and not just pretending so she could lock the door once he left and go back to work. Once she was ready, he grabbed his coffee, finished if off, and led her down to the garage of the tower so they could take on his cars out of the building. “What’d I do this time?” he asked. While he wanted Pepper out of the office—the longer the better—a two hour conversation sounded more than ominous.

Always in trouble, that was the rule she lived by, he was to always be in trouble and she'd know why. Granted this was another first, she didn't have a clue if he had done anything in the past week or so. Nothing came across her desk nor did she get a hesitant call from anyone, thus he wasn't in trouble. How the tables were turning, and she didn't like that fact. Normality was what she craved, but it never seemed to come from the life style she chose to life. How ironic.

It was a simple word but should assure him of a ass chewing that will never happen. While she let that simple one worded reply sink in, she took the liberty of pressing the down button on the elevator. In some truth she didn't know which floor they were going towards, more then likely his garage full of play toys. She spent far to much time putting those cars together, only for half of them to end up under the water, some retrievable, but mostly not. At least she was smart and took the liberty of making sure half of the collection was in LA while the other half was in New York. 

As the doors opened with a high head she stepped in, waiting for him to pick the level to go to. "For once...nothing has come across me at this moment. Instead I have a request to ask of you, it's a big one Tony, and it could lead to more or less drama depending on how I go about it." 

In some ways she suspected he must have some clue to what her agenda would consist of. Her distraught nature after the riots was quiet apparent when she left the office. No one else could possibly pin those emotions down besides him and maybe Natasha, but she recalled only seeing Tony after the event.

Oh that joke is making it's rounds again? Skyrim was downloaded far to much in the tower to where I had to ban it. 

If it helps at all, could remind people that it means said person has been married and has a family, not a actual arrow.

Storm Coming In || Thor Odinson

For only being a few floors a part from each other, Pepper was never one to truly see the other Avengers in the tower. Besides Tony that is, they both were only a floor a part thus making run ins a normal part of life. In a small way it was depressing due to the fact Natasha was a very good friend, yet they've only seen the other possibly twice at the most. As for the others it was practically a text message or phone call, but no matter how busy the schedule was at the time if they needed her physically there she would be there. 

At least that's what she promised herself, as of right now, this would be the first time she declared dropping things to see the Asgardian known as Thor. From what she knew in school of the mythology around Thor, they weren't that far off from the real things. Still he was a kind man from what she's seen thus his message coming out of the blue was welcoming but a small part of her was worried. Call it bad habit from being Tony's personal assistant days, or the small motherly side of her Pepper Potts cared a lot about people even though it rarely showed. 

Thus from floor fifty-two the red head went straight to floor seventy-two or better known as the roof. The place that was once the house of the horrid tesseract, but now was simply a nice place to go and relax. Stepping out of the elevator doors she noticed how the skyline did look a bit dark for the daylight hours. Of course it would possibly rain when she wore all white, no point in going outside the tower for the day now. 

Still without fearing the weather coming in, Pepper Potts wasted no time in walking over to the blonde haired man standing not to far away. "It does look like a storm is coming in, a pity I thought there would be some sun today."

She watched the lady, beautiful hair, perfectly cut, reminded her of every woman with the white picket fence and the offer of freshly baked good, but already she could tell she was far from it. The woman who she should warn people about guarding their loins, about standing back and silencing when she spoke. The person you got shit done without question. She was badass with the dress sense that would shatter any editor at Vogue, at least in her opinion and according to the records, something a little bit extra.

She smiled before sneezing lightly. “No wonder my nose was acting up” She said with a small smile before rubbing her eyes, bags prominent. “I’m-good, not a hobo, despite the-homeless look I assure you-in fact Tony, you know him well, offered such-” She was about to speak more when a large yawn took over her.  How long had it been seen proper sleep.

"I’m-fine is my point." she said with a bitter laugh. "What are you doing out so early?"

Skepticism was rolling off the older woman as looked down at the young woman before her. The fact that even Tony was was willing to come out and say someone was looking sickly was proof enough the girl needed help. Fatigue was apparent by the bags under her eyes, the sneeze is troublesome maybe allergies or a small bit of cold, could be possible due to lack of sleep. Maybe a warm meal, talking, and sleep would help her in some way. 

The hour break would have to go over a bit, like anyone would tell her otherwise. Majority of the chair holders of the company were not about to go against what Tony wanted, and truly what would he do? Fire her? Doubtful. 

"I was actually taking a break, I worked odd hours the past couple of days, thus this is my morning break." Now for the lying part to get the outcome Pepper thought would be ideal. 

"Which included a walk through the park to get to a nice breakfast, would you like to join me? A bit of company wouldn't be so bad, plus it is always good to meet one of Tony's friends."
