“Hey ‘Mione, it’s really good to see you again.” Harry said with a grin, “How’ve you been?”

                      “Harry!” 

                       Hermione called with a large smile on her face. The visage of Harry was always one that made her feel happiness even at the worst of times. She didn’t care if it was in Potions or in the most volatile argument with another wizard or witch. He had the ability to make her feel the tiniest bit upbeat and with a little spring in her step. She threw her hands up in the air, struggling with the urge to wrap her arms around him into an embrace.

                      “I’ve been buried in textbooks. I can’t even begin to explain the first thing about the theory of evolution. My parents are quite determined in educating me on it. It’s quite amusing actually. You let me run off at the mouth again—- What have you been doing?”

Harry laughed as Hermione started one of her rants, once she was done he simply grinned and hugged her, "I've missed you.." he muttered before pulling back, "I figured it was about time I initiated a hug." he teased.

"What have I been doing? Studying actually, I um- I'm looking into that Auror career I've been thinking about fourth year" he said with a grin which turned playful, "Something Hermione Granger cant' grasp? I'm Shocked!"

Harry shrugged, “We could pop over to the Leaky Cauldron for a butter beer I suppose.” he said with a soft smile, “Or… just lunch somewhere.”

Harry looked up as the sun began to set and sighed, he had come to America to get away from England and the memories of the war with the dark wizard Voldemort. He had left his apartment for the evening to relax and watch the sun set, so when he sat down next to a brunette he decided to try and be friendly, “Um, hello.” he finally said.

Peering over the thick plastic rim of her sunglasses, Darcy grinned at the new comer.  “Hey there, cutie.” With her free hand, she pushed the box of cupcakes towards him. “Cupcake?”

"Um, sure." He said as he pushed his glasses back up on his face, he'd considered getting contacts but the glasses were a special part of him and he was reluctant to part with them, "I-I'm Harry."  he finally said as he took one of the cupcakes.

Happy Birthday to Me|| Open

Daylight dwindles as Darcy sits on a shaded cafe patio, a full glass of bright pink watermelon margarita sweating in her hand. Her legs are extended, sunglasses perched on her nose, and though the intern is alone, she seems fairly content, if the small twist of a smile on her bright red lips is any indication.

On the table to her side is a few boxes of cupcakes and two thirds of a cake- gifts she brought along for her little early evening get away.
