“So much music today is perversely sexualized. It’s guys bragging about being hot, about ‘getting girls,’ getting ‘bitches.’ It’s very tiresome to me. People aren’t actually like that. The things that really make people happy, you know, it’s intimacy and being loved.”
Michael Milosh (Rhye)
I made a cover of Lucy Rose’s, Shiver. It’s been a while since I’ve heard this song, but it really struck me when I came across it again. Things haven’t been so great lately so this song came at a perfect time. Hope it reaches you too.

…I’m someone who’s mostly dead inside but still has a little hope for something extraordinary, which, as I said, is the worst breed of human, because it means I know everything is bullshit, but that I secretly hope for the day when it might not be.

We Are Fractions
Somewhere along your life you’ll meet someone who you will fall in love with. They will mean the world to you and life before them will seem somewhat meaningless. As the months past and your relationship grows, you will each learn that the person you see now is different from the person you fell in love with. Don’t be afraid, the person you fell in love with still exists, but now the truth is clear. Your love has revealed their weaknesses, their scars, their insecurities, and this scares you. This is why I don’t believe in a perfect love or put too much value on first impressions (I still fall prey to both though). But it brings me comfort to know that each person you encounter is just a fraction of all they are. So the next time you enter into a relationship, keep an open mind and leave your expectations at the door. The person you will fall in love with will continue to grow more and more.
