Final reflections

Here comes the end of my cas

All actions taken by me during my cas were important in obtaining new skills and thoughts.

Activity was full of new challenges. I’ve acquired new license and for the first time sailed on the big ship (Zawisza Czarny). Out of the season I focused on taekwondo that helped my with everyday’s stress and though me aspects of teamwork.

Service in the library was focused on the base help connected with the nature of this place. Being the one who gives books was something new for me. Also my ability to fix many thinks was useful. I’ve gained many important thoughts during that action.

Creativity was filling not only days when I was planing to play guitar but also all the moments I got a need. That was the simplest to do as I need only a instrument that was always next to me. The joy provided by the music plays important role in my life now. I’ve learned how others can enjoy it.

I am really happy with my CAS. I think that it was well prepared and planed what made me easy to do the stuff.

Midterm Reflections

Activity: I get so much fun and the ability to stay healthy. I relay enjoyed it because I love sailing and I can sail for hours. Also, I achieved my sailing dream to get a yacht skipper license that is my second license and allows me to take yacht up to 18 meters on every sea. Now I can set up my own cruise in Croatia.

Creativity: It is a really good perspective to start the summer holidays with the ability to play guitar. Mainly because I will be on many sailing camps where the guitarist is very needed during bonfires. 

Service: I used to fact that there is a place where my support is needed and valuable. This week even one student from our school called me sir. Every time I visit the library here is something to do and I really enjoy it that I am not bored.

There is a photo of the library. It is really fun to work on that team (LO5&4). next week there would be renovation there and I would also try to be helpful there.

Today I received the proof that I have the yacht skipper license. It is very important as it was my aim in sailing to achieve this title this year. I was planing it from the beginning in Croatia. It was a great experience to work in this crew and have fun with them. I hope it wasn't my last cruise.

This month there was a national flag day due to this fact we made this photo on one training. That day we also used the old way of practicing that is only including our bodies so all equipment was not necessary. It gave me a lot of fun because when I was younger we were practicing in that way more often

Before our winter break I managed to do some photos of middle group of our Taekwodo trainings where also practicing myself I could help my master Amadeusz with teaching kids bases of this martial art. I learned how to work in group because there are more warriors that help to teach the youngest

Today I recieved photos from my last cruise from Baltic Sea we were going from Gdynia to Hel and then to Memel on S/y Zawisza Czarny. I was impresed how the work on that big boat is in comparison to smaller ones that i am used to sail

I think that it gave me new skills during cruise we have to cook, clean, and sail. (LO2 & (LO1). I am going to encourage my friends from scout sailing  team to try  something bigger than 7 m long boats in Boszkowo

During cruise we were divided to four watches and every day we were doing something different in different hours. For instance one day we were in pentra to 16:00 and then to 20:00 on navigational watch, then we could sleep to 3:30 to get next navigational watch to 8:00. It was also last day of cruise and agout 7:30 we were going in to Gdynia.

It was great expirience for me moreover it was cruise of musicians and every day in port we were singing.

I will add some photos and songs from our crew singing.

Also before the cruise I was in Boszkowo working with the elders and incapable people, On the last thay we got a bonfire and I was playing guitar with them, that showed me the power of music other’s lifes. (LO6)

The cruise however was hard decision as i wont be able to make my service in the libray for nearly a week. But I’ve decided that cruise will help me understand the salinig more in other way than it is on the lakes (LO7)

Introduction

I am Chris and as all IB students i am going to do my CAS.

I have chosen folowing actions:

Creativity: playing guitar (mostly scout and sailing songs)

Activity: Taekwondo and Sailing (in winter i can’t sail on the nearest lake)

Service: help in school’s library and corepetitions for younger friend from Tailand
