Happy Moments: Praise God Difficult Moments: Seek God Quiet Moments: Worship God Painful Moments: Trust God Every Moment: THANK GOD!
Yes Lord, please remind me of this daily <3
For awhile, I couldn't feel that God was there.
After not being at youth group a few weeks due to business from school, I fell into a slump. Everything seemed too overwhelming. When I did come back, I felt out of place because my friends weren't there. My church seemed intimidating. New people came and took place of what was familiar. There was this new guy that was really on fire about Jesus and he had a lot of things to say. That entire night he was sharing what he thought, I barely understood what he was saying. I felt like a baby Christian even though I've accepted Him over 10 years ago and have been raised in a Christian family.
There's someone else there that intimidates me with their easygoing charismatic confidence. There was actually a Sunday I arrived at service late and when I walked in the chapel and saw him, I turned around, got back into the car and went to my other church. I really thing that there's something wrong if someone's presence can turn you away from your church.
okay so this girl from my church invited this guy from her school who happens to be gay to my church, and he’s been coming for a while. well today i felt led to talk to him. And before i get into that let me dip into the past really quick. So when said girl first started inviting him to come and stuff she was like going around like ohh i invited a gay guy to church, ya know i’m so good there’s that to check off of my christian list of things to do to be “perfect” like acting like that and whatnot. Well at a student/leader meeting at my church. with the student leaders and whatnot, one of my HS pastors, was like said girl’s been doing awesome in inviting people, she invited this guy dylan to church who has a …. problem. It breaks my heart, whenever someone ask’s me “Oh you’re friends with the gay guy?” or acts like he has a disease. Yeah it’s a sin to be gay. but you don’t go around saying “Stephanie… the liar?” No you don’t do that. And why not? if you can call him the gay guy, what makes me better than him? What makes YOU better than him?And it just hurts me so deeply when the refer to him as that.
those of you who know me know that i don’t support the sin. but that does not mean that i don’t love the sinner.
Dylan is one of the sweetest guy’s i’ve ever met. And i’m so glad that God led me to introduce myself. because i feel that he needs some love.
I'm so glad that someone else out there thinks that too. It makes me upset when people think that Christian=intolerant of homosexual people. I totally agree that you're supposed to love the person. People need Jesus no matter what kind of person it is, He loves them all and we should too. No one should be treated better than another. Everyone's equal, under no circumstance is it okay to base judgement on any individual without further knowledge about them. But even then, it's not okay to degrade anyone because of who they are. No one deserves it.
God's blessings are fulfilled through prayer.
When you’re down or upset, when you’re feeling hopeless, turn to God and bring all of your troubles and emotions before Him. God always has a way of lifting you up. He is constantly lavishing us with His love and showing us His faithfulness.

These past two weeks have been very stressful and busy for me, and as a result, I haven’t been spending as much time before God and in His presence. However, throughout all of this, I have just been learning that God matters the most. He matters more than my grades, more than school, more than anything that I feel bothered or bogged down by. I just wanted to share a little of what has been happening.
Yesterday morning, I was praying and had a revelation that I was putting God behind everything else. In my desire to do all things well for Him, I had actually been putting Him last. I told Him, “I’m sorry for putting school before You lately. I’m sorry for making You a last resort at times. You are what my life revolves around, the center of everything, and I don’t want to put You last anymore. I want to work hard for you, I want to do all things for Your glory. So today, I just want to tell You how much I love You, for the whole day.” And afterward, I just felt this idea surfacing and becoming clearer. It was one that had come up earlier this week: choose a scripture every day and meditate on it.
Later that day, I was texting my mom and telling her about how I had been lately and so she prayed for me. After she finished, she said, “I plan to send you one or two verses every day. So you can ponder on them. Also, don’t forget to do your daily devotions.” God is so good.
I’ve been having some other experiences like this lately, where God has just been doing things to show me His love for me. I feel so blessed that He’s giving me revelation of how faithful He is, how much He cares about every aspect of my life, and how He’s going to work everything out. I just need to trust in Him.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans 8:38-39
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
2 Corinthians 7:10 (via florescence)
“Let the sea and everything in it shout His praise! Let the earth and all living things join in. Let the rivers clap their hands in glee! Let the hills sing out their songs of joy before the Lord.” Psalm 98:7-8 [NLT]

Take this heavy heart, this weary soul, and set them free. Remove myself until there’s nothing left except You alone and me.
