I got sucked back into food fantasy

I’ve started it again. Why do you do this to me. I’m a sucker for these money grabbing games with anime waifus and husbandos. It’s been a few months since I’ve been logging in daily but now theirs an active ness report? I missed out on the oyster summoning? Bleh. Participated in the white truffle event and now I have braised noodles and Mr.shrimpy in the new summon event. I’m going to catch up!! (Probs not lets be real)

Hello! Happy belated Chinese New Year year of the pig! I’ve been dead because of school. Tests and Presentations have been killing me. Surely people have found the answers to the event already but here they are still!

Basically, don’t be wishy washy. For red wine you have to willingly pretend to be Angie’s bf while gingerbread is about the truth. Personally I agree with gingerbread. Also the answers I got wrong were on purpose lol. Most of the neutral answers seem more like Steak-like actions. Come on! Lay on the ground? What’s the big deal about this? He’d totally do and say that lol.

Honestly this event is a typical long and treacherous one for the skin. Honestly I might just go for the frame. The last event was a killer after all.

Voltron Legendary Defender Ship End Season 8

Usually I’m about mindless gacha games but today I will say....Fuck I’m salty.

I know I shouldn’t be but like season 8 has got me real salty about my ships among other things. I just need to get this little bit of bitterness off my chest before writing a better rant later not about ships.

Keith and Allura barely interacted even platonically. Gahhhh.

I should have accepted Allurance (from the moment Lance said Mrs.blue lion) but god damn it was poorly developed. Lance’s crush should have just stayed a crush and realize he should love himself more. Lance got snubbed in this season with his centering around Allura. There was so much Langst (Lance Angst) just in the finale alone to make me slam my head. This wasn’t the spotlight I wished for.

And even then we get a bittersweet where Allura goes off and becomes space dust.

Hunk was bae though. He was the solid rock of the season. And I’m glad Pidge and Allura interacted a bit more. I guess I’m glad Shiro got his happy end but it seemed kinda reactionary from the fans complaining about Adam.

Even so I’m so fucking salty.

I’m going to pretend Voltron season 8 was a pipe dream Lance had about what would happen if Allura returned his feelings and that the real season 8 comes out Lance has some real character development.

Food Fantasy: Translation screw ups?

Okay so I got this cute baby milk tea in the summons. Couldn’t help myself even if they are permanently added. This line had me question things.

I had originally thought hot dog was biologically a dude but then noticed a pair of female presenting parts on their upper body as well as the English bio and English female Va. I switched to the Japanese Va a while but don’t use hot dog really. So I just noticed the Japanese Va is a guy.

Apparently the Chinese bio had this

然而他/她究竟是男是女呢？

Is he/she a man or a woman?

Then I looked closer: Is this a clothed male lower half? Maybe?

What pronouns does hot dog like then??? Is the individual trans? Ahhh does the individual like she or prefers to remain gender neutral as is with beauty being at its peak with androgynous people? Or perhaps there isnt a bulge and hot dog is a very tomboyish female biologically in general?

While Reddit or something has the translations for the bios I might take my own crack at it and read through the bios myself. Heck I should probably just play on the Chinese one as well but it’s already time consuming with just the English one idk.

As someone who is poc, I’m not mad that there’s only 3 poc food souls (Chocolate, Brownie, Nasi) as well as 2 light skinned tan ones (Bibimbap ((if she counts which I think she kinda does but each to their own)) Cornbread). I don’t feel like any of them are white washed either and I love them all. I honestly wouldn’t be mad or devastated if they didn’t add a few more poc characters but regardless if they did I would love them and be happy and I still hope they do. I feel like, as an Asian game, it’s actually doing alright diversity and lgbt+ wise. It’s a big step for an Asian game to have a healthy and wholesome depiction of lgbt+ relationships and as well as honestly, coming from a standpoint, food fantasy has more pocs then a lot of animes or Asian games or even games that aren’t Asian going on for them and I’m just happy and appreciative that they have them and a healthy representation of them. Also most the food souls represent there foods so it would look a little dumb is vanilla and strawberry were poc or wonton, you know what I mean ? Regardless I do hope they add more poc but I’m honestly do appreciative the poc we already have and I love them so much bless and I just wanted to make a post appreciating this🙌🏼🙏🏼

P.S Lightskin/tanned pocs are a thing and exist and aren’t white washed and are just as much poc as any other poc (I only bring this up because the bnha fandom went off because Miruko “wasn’t poc enough”)

@sakusa-Hana By poc you mean person of color right? What exactly doesn that entail fo you in terms of food fantasy? Do you mean just diversity in general by US standards?

I’m going to give out my 2 cents: I wouldn’t give Elex too much credit. Simplicity at its finest if you know what I mean.

They’re just going through foods most familiar to people (in Asia) for the most part and the appearance is typically attributed to what part of the world they hail from.

Chocolate has origins in South America and Nasi Lamek has origins in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Brownie has origins in the United States which is a melting pot of people but also brings the argument of the fact that brownies are brown.

Basically, the color of the skin is just a means to fit the whole theme of the food? Like people should get that?

Food Fantasy: Upcoming Events as of 11/14/2018?

K folks. We all know cavair and seaweed soup limited time summoning event is coming up. But what other event will there be? 

I’ve been looking at the chinese food fantasy wiki for events and future food souls for awhile now. There’s going to be thanksgiving themed events for next week definitely. But rewards and stuff will be different for the English server of course.

There will be a American corn bread Event most definitely in a few days? 

Hope you’ve stalked up on potions! According to the Chinese wiki at least normal and hard stages will have drops that you can exchange for cornbread shards and other items. Either that or they’ll add cornbread instead of toso into the summoning pool with seaweed soup and caviar? I hope not. Maybe raindrop cake will get the rate up again since we didn’t get them in the haunted park event?
