KBS Hello ep134 - f(x)âs Victoria
Brushing Waves || Baekhyun & Victoria
"OhâŠthank you," Baekhyun said rather awkwardly as he walked out the front. He wasnât used to having someone in general hold the door for him since on days when he had to move and things got busy, he would use his ability to shuffle things through and open the door for himself.
Heading her motions, he walked ahead a bit although seeing how he was carrying all her books without using his ability he was much slower and it wasnât hard for her to catch up to him.
"I live with Hyuk, this little fox boy," Baekhyun stated after hearing her question, little being an understatement since the boy happened to be taller than him. "But heâs always outside so he wonât be a botherâŠif thatâs what youâre worried about."
Or at least Baekhyun was making the assumption that she could possibly be worried about it. After all, she didnât seem like someone who was interested in being surrounded by people. Kind of like Jongdae he supposed. He couldnât help but wonder if her ability was also similiar then in such a manner however he held the question back, feeling it not the right time to ask.
As he started off in the direction towards his cottage, Victoria followed alongside him, but making sure to give herself some space between them. When he began mentioning his housemate Hyuk, her hand went to her back pocket where her black gloves poked out, getting ready to grab the soft material and slip them on. But luckily, Baekhyun continued and explained that the fox boy typically stayed outside and should not be around. Hearing this, her hand went back to her side as they walked, not feeling like she needed her gloves when there was only one person to worry about. Plus, he seemed to know to keep his hands to himself, which was good.
"Okay, that's fine then. As long as he's outside." She shrugged slightly, not thinking to elaborate on why she would prefer that no one was there. The blonde didn't find it very important the tell why she didn't like being around other people. to her, it only mattered that people knew that she didn't want to be around them and kept away from her. She couldn't care less on what reasons they came up with for her liking to be alone.
"Nearly there?" She prompted after a moment or two of silence, honestly ready to take whatever books she wanted and head back to her cottage to read.

Running From Troubles || Key & Victoria
He had no idea how to react to her slight taunts at him. They did have a cat-dog relationship ever since Victoria joined and Key met her. He just had to have her as a toy because she was so interesting, even hating him. He pulled his hands from her hair and laughed slightly. A wide smile graced his face for a bit and then he smirked. âAh, but Victoria~, I want you to drink with me~!â he stated, emphasizing the âyouâ in his statement.
It was true. Key liked his toy and he wanted her to drink with him, because she was a fun drunk. Now, once she was drunk, he was okay with her and her actions, but his current priority was trying to get her to drink with him. Key pursed his lips in a pout and voiced his thoughts in an aegyo tone. âVictoria, pretty please?â he asked, pouting, aegyo lacing his tone. He was good at being aegyo, having used that skill all his life to get whatever he wanted.
He hoped that the aegyo worked, and if it would not work, then he could just guilt-trip her. That was his last resort. âBut seriously, Vicky, I do want to drink with you and not just because youâre my toy. I want to because youâre fun when youâre drunk and you donât hate me as much,â he added, smirking. Key had a feeling that she would succumb to him at any moment.
Victoria watched him with a deadpan expression as he said he specially wanted to share drinks with her. She didn't understand how anyone could be so persistent on such a frivolous matter. Based on what she had seen from some of the cirque members, there were plenty that wouldn't have to be asked twice to drink with someone, so why was he trying to get her to take part in getting drunk? She figured he probably just wanted to see her act stupidly, considering it wasn't a huge secret that she wasn't the best at holding her alcohol.
An eyebrow raised as he tried aegyo on her, not finding his pout half as cute as he probably did. Aegyo never worked on her, no matter who it was. There were times when she recognized the person as cute, but it held no sway over her actions or decisions. "No," she answered flatly, again making the shooing gesture. "Find someone else to entertain yourself with."
His next statement proved her earlier assumption right, or at least partially. "No, I'm not a fun drunk, I'm a stupid drunk. And I doubt a few drinks would make me not hate someone," she added, eying him. If he kept persisting she would probably succumb, but only to make him shut up. Plus she figured she could always pretend to drink and poor her beverage into the sand. But she wasn't keen to do so, so she prayed he would just drop the issues and find another drinking buddy.
Brushing Waves || Baekhyun & Victoria
"Oh," Baekhyun wonders whether it was because she was similiar to him in that they just somehow didnât have any roommates or whether she was more like Kai in that she couldnât have roommates. He didnât know her ability so he couldnât assume anything and he was still hesitant to ask her about it.
He complaisantly follows after her after shutting the door, giving quick glances around the room while trying not to look like he was inquisitive about what her house was set up like. Slightly similiar to his, he decides.
He briefly pauses before entering her room, even given permission it wasnât something he could be casual about. He decides to just lean against the doorway and wait as she reaches under her bed and brings out a blue bag. Once sheâs placed them out, he walks into her room to take a look at what she has.
There were more books than he would have assumed to be able to fit in the bag and they were also somehow kept in such nice quality even when stuffed that he had to give her a lot of credit for being careful.
He quickly makes his selection as he moves the books around, making sure not to damage the books he chose to leave behind. With no bag to hold them in, he comes to terms that he would just hold them in his hands and if it got too heavy, he would use his ability to float them around until he reached his cottage. It wasnât that far from her place anyways.
Now that heâs done, he turns to the female. Heâs unable to make a gesture which implies they should lead and go to his place so he tries talking behind his stacks of books. âIâll take these ones. Do you want to come to my place now?â
When Baekhyun stepped into her room to access and chose the books he wished to take with him, the blonde took a few steps back and waited towards the side, watching as he sorted through them. Out of habit, she crossed her arms and lightly drummed her fingers against her skin. Somehow crossing her arms had become a small habit of hers, and even though it sometimes gave her the appearance of being irritated, she didn't really care. She didn't exactly desire to be seen as very approachable anyway.
After he had selected his books, she walked back over to the bag and zipped it shut, nodding as he asked if she was ready to get the books from his place. "One second." Lifting the much lighter bag up, she placed it down on the ground and slid it back under the bed before standing. "Alright... uh, I'll get the door."
Taking the lead for now, she led him out of her room and to the door, holding it open for him so he did not have to juggle the books around to free a hand. Once he was outside, she closed the door and gestured for him to take the lead now, seeing as she didn't know where his cottage was. "Do you have any housemates or something?" Because she did not have to worry about housemates, she wasn't sure exactly how many were in each cottage, and she wasn't keen to walk into a house full of people.
Yo Playa Why Can't You Think? || Nichkhun & Victoria
Fortunately, Nichkhun was able to recall every detail from the circusâs little night out. The man hadnât drank nearly enough to get him to the point of even approaching the level of âwastedâ. It was obvious that the brunet enjoyed partying, but not enough to succumb himself to intoxication â not anymore, that was; he feared the consequences of being in an unpredictable state of mind. He had witnessed the results and wanted to take no more chances. And just as he looked out for himself in that way, he tried to do the same for others as well; in fact the last time heâd taken a drunk woman home, heâd done so to tend to her, to which she protested of course but soon gave up out of her dramatic decrease in energy.
The man being too hung up on his recollections of the stunning blonde before him, her brief response in Chinese didnât register. For a moment he simply thought he was getting better at understanding Korean and even wondered why that ability dissipated seconds later when she began speaking once more. And although her interpretation of his comment was incorrect due to taking it out of context, he simply grinned and muttered a gentle âsorryâ.
Her next words were offensive, and he was very aware of that, but Nichkhun only found himself smiling more. It was odd, but somehow her edgy tone and sharp statements made her more appealing. The more he thought about it though, it really wasnât odd at all considering the fact that heâs formed a pattern of taking a particular liking to such women. And there was a slight possibility of her words reigning true; however he didnât bother lingering on that for too long. While he hadnât won over more than two hearts in Korea so far, he had wiggled himself into the pair of several jeans back in America and that â as sad as it may have sounded to someone else â was good enough for him.
âIs that you offering to teach me?â He asked in a suggestive manner that matched perfectly with the way a single brow of his elevated. If she felt such a strong urge to criticize him, she should at least have the dignity to help him improve, right? Though it was becoming slowly obvious to him, by the beginning of their first official encounter, it might have been a no. She definitely didnât seem like a people person, much less an eager helping hand.
When the other finally addressed the spontaneous kiss weeks prior, he couldnât help but smirk a bit. âI beg to differ.â Not special? Anybody who got the chance to kiss her lips was obviously blessed. Especially if it was her taking the initiative. However his grin faltered just a tad once heâd realized she was drunk during. While it did no damage to his ego, he couldnât help but feel somewhat guilty for rubbing it in her face. Even if he didnât see it as any type of mistake, he knew how much of a burden it could be to know â or not know â of the things one did during intoxication.
Putting these thoughts heavily into consideration he decided to drop the subject as quickly as she seemed to want to.
Her next words threw him off slightly, but nonetheless he allowed the same flirty air to surround his figure. Just as Nichkhun was about to respond though, the sight of her free hand raising shut his mouth. What was she doing? At that point his imagination began flashing him images of intimacy between him and the blonde. He couldnât help it though; a woman could accidentally bump into his shoulder and heâd still want to think it was on purpose to get his attention, simply because he would have done something similar.
When her hand laid upon his arm for a few seconds, the man stood more proudly. Obviously she was feeling his biceps, right? Why else would a girl say she needed to see something and then feel his arm? Maybe she wouldnât be as hard to get as he thought ⊠and for some reason, that idea was even a little disappointing, yet it continued to further form itself when her hand moved upward to touch his cheek. Okay, there was no denying it from her.
She wanted him!
Pft, and sheâd just said she wasnât one to do more touching than talking.
Howbeit just when his ego couldnât be more fluffed, she began exclaiming things which took him two seconds too long to understand. When he did catch her words though, his eyes widened and he took a step back. âWhy, why, why, why?â He asked continuously, each separate âwhyâ blending in with another.
He was beyond confused now. First of all, did she technically just call him a moron? And why was she freaking out about touching his face!? He had a nice face! What did she expect to see anyway? His fortune? Did he react oddly to her hand? What on earth was going on!?
His mind frantically asking questions, his posture remained relatively calm as he stared at her. âI do!â He claimed, referring to her inquiry about his apparently possible lack of a brain. âAre you doing well?â He asked immediately after, in a manner which one would ask another who is mentally ill. Of course his question was innocent, it could easily be taken in a belittling demeanor â something which was happening often due to language barriers. Â
Victoria rolled her eyes and made a slightly disgusted face at his earlier flirtatious comment, snapping back with a rude, but in her eyes, true statement. "No, I'm not going to help you. Learn it yourself. That's the only way it will stick." She didn't understand why he was even trying to flirt with her. The blonde felt she made it pretty clear that she was not at all interested in him, despite what her previous actions might have led him to think. Touching his arm and face probably didn't help much either, but she didn't think of it in that manner.
When he reacted to her outburst, Victoria watched him critically, wondering how someone without a brain could possibly be doing anything. She was still considering that he must not have a brain at all, simply because she could think of no other explanation for not being able to peer into his thoughts. Logically it didn't make sense that he did not possess a brain, but to her it was also not logical that she couldn't see anything from him when she could read everyone else, even all the strange people gathered at the cirque. Briefly she wondered if it had something to do with his ability. Maybe he had the power to negate other abilities? Somehow that seemed more reasonable than anything else, but not likely.
"Why?" She repeated, her eyebrows raising as if she expected him to know already why she was acting so strangely. "Because, touching you is like touching a damn rock! I don't see anything at all! Not even your current thoughts, let alone anything else!" After her exclamation, it occurred to her that she had never actually clarified what her ability was, and that was probably causing some of the confusion. She backtracked a little bit, just to make sure he knew what she was talking about. "I can read thoughts and see memories when I touch people. You have nothing. At all! It's like you have no brain or something! How are you even able to talk without any thoughts?" His next question concerning her mental condition caused her to glare at him, taking offense to it when he was the one who must not be mentally alright. "Yes, I am fine. You're the messed up one."
Again she briefly touched his arm, just to be absolutely positive that she could not read anything from him. ".... See, nothing! Are you even human?" Perhaps if he were an animal shifter or something similar, she would not be able to see anything because of the animal side? But that wold still not make sense, considering she had met a few shifters and she could read their thoughts without a problem. For a moment, she briefly entertained the notion that he was really an animal that could take the form of a human, and so was more dominantly animal. However, to her that made about as much sense as him not having a brain.
"...What is your ability? How did you get into the circus?"
Colliding || Sehun & Victoria
With her eyes cast down to the music player in her hand, Victoria weaved her way around the cirque, walking rather aimlessly. Staying in her room was getting rather boring, and with no friends she wanted to visit, to only other activity she could think to do was go for a walk. She enjoyed peaceful walks anyway, as long as no one disturbed her of course. Being able to be out on her own was a priveldge she sometimes missed ever since she joined the cirque. Even whenever she was alone, it wasn't quite the same as the solitude she had when she had been living in her old home. She knew there were people around her still, even if walls or tents separated them.
She slowly flipped through her playlist, gaze still glued to the screen as she searched for a particular song. Rather stupidly, the blonde assumed no one would run into her or vice versa. By now she figured most people would avoid her anyway, considering the fact that she didn't have a reputation for being the nicest person around. It seemed that by now most people knew to simply leave her alone, and she was not complaining about that at all.
But whether it was her own fault or someone else's the blonde suddenly collided with someone, throwing her balance off. Much to her despair, her iPod slipped from her hands while she struggled to correct her balance, but ultimately felt herself falling backwards.
