The most recognized pollinators are the various species of bees, which are plainly adapted to pollination. Bees typically are fuzzy and carry an electrostatic charge. Both features help pollen grains adhere to their bodies. (wikipedia)

This is my unforgettable camping experience at Mt. Makiling in Laguna during my on-the-job trainee days. The feeling is weird and silent far away from busy places and ppollution. Huge trees, fresh air....and a long walk! One should be careful and respectful in every living thing found in here. Maria Makiling might be watching you.......

Anthurium: Flower for the dead

they say this flower is for the dead because of the candle like structure visible on the plant. he candle lie structure is the flower while the red colored leaf like structure is the spathe. 

They thrive in moist soils with high organic matter.

I don't know what species this flower is. My Mom planted it in our garden. Your sight will be caught by this flower' beauty when you passed by in our garden.

The Sun Flower at UP is a symbol of success for the graduates. The flowers can be seen in full bloom during April, the graduation month.

The sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is an annual plant native to the Americas. It possesses a large inflorescence (flowering head), and its name is derived from the flower's shape and image, which is often used to depict the sun. The plant has a rough, hairy stem, broad, coarsely toothed, rough leaves, and circular flower heads. The heads consist of many individual flowers which mature into seeds, often in the hundreds, on a receptacle base. From the Americas, sunflower seeds were brought to Europe in the 16th century, where, along with sunflower oil, they became a widespread cooking ingredient. Leaves of the sunflower can be used as cattle feed, while the stems contain a fibre which may be used in paper production.
