small announcement.
I honestly haven’t really felt like writing on Alphys for a while. And really, that’s not that bad, I can still write her -- but I have to put myself to it. So I’m just saying that I will do replies even slower than before. Just to take my time and give you a good reply that I am proud of and would deem worthy of our rp.
I slapped this together. I’m a horrible host. Jazz hands. I meant to make one at 1k but it all happened too fast, I better make this before 3k happens. Thank you, everybody, so much for being patient with me & for putting up with me. I’m grateful you all stuck with me & I love each of you. ( art cred: x )

Finally finished the S/ong of A/chilles.. I don’t know who to live anymore. I’m not really gonna be online today -- but I’ll be on another blog. Which one? you dont wanna know, it’s only more proof of what trash i am

I dare you to write the first thing that comes to mind.
If we were galaxies, we would be seemingly endless. Just being free in the darkness of space, no rules, no anything, except your own freedom. No one would be able to take that away; that feeling.
Except.. We aren’t galaxies, our lives begin and they end – sometimes too sudden. Every day we live, we come one day closer to our end – even on days where you don’t feel alive. But that’s just a fact. I did not like it, I don’t think anyone ever does, even as I saw the coffin being lowered into the ground. Her name was Alice, 17 years old, killed by a drunk diver. And in a few years, she would just be another grave without a name, a corpse in the ground with nothing more than lost memories.
She had been my best friend. People told you to “move on”, but I felt like if I did that, I would start to forget little things about her, like the way she smiled or the color of her eyes. That she would just become a ghost to me. I didn’t want that. I didn’t want to slowly forget all the things we had been through together, just because it was taken away from me – from us.
Everything was so deadly quiet as they lowered her coffin into the ground, people cried silent tears and remembered only the good things about her – because it is bad to speak ill of the dead.
But I knew the person she had really been. She had been a normal girl, average like everyone else. There was nothing particularly special about her. She wasn’t “so very kind”, “too good of a person to have died”, “a brave teenager”. No. She was just as average as you and I.
Though, in this case, it truly seemed as if death brought out the best of people, because they hoped their words would make them remember her as long as they lived. But their memories would fade, together with their words, as the years would come to pass.
Every autumn, on the date we had first met, I sat next to her grave and stared up at the sky, before looking at her grave stone – and just started talking. About everything; the things that had happened to me in the year she had not been able to see, but most importantly I told her everything I remembered about her. The way her hair looked in the sunlight and how she would laugh when a little kid fell.
That went on for years – and though the list of events in my years grew, the list of things I remembered about her became shorter. Until the list only existed out of one thing: “You were my best friend”. That was all I could remember. She had just become a memory to me, a ghost of a person that didn’t matter anymore.
And even though that was the only thing I could recall; I cried, because that was the only thing I could recall.

As some might have noticed; every time Alphys has been asked for her age, it simply states “redacted” or “unknown”. Either one can be used and on every accusation, she makes no comment. For example, @gasteritis said: “At least when you were only a child, no doubt.” She will never deny or approve such an accusation. For, she simply does not feel the need to tell her age -- her actions speak for themselves. Something such as age should not matter in a world where actions do matter. She will deny accusations of being under 21, though -- saying something along the lines of “that’s flattering, but i am actually older than that”. Older, she won’t mention anything. Monsters can live up till a long time -- and she keeps track of her own age, celebrating her birthday -- but how old she truly is, she has never mentioned. And probably won’t mention it either -- unless someone would get to pry it out of her.
