{{ * Anastasia knew she was right, but it was good to hear it from someone else. She knew that it sucked that nothing she ever worked for mattered anymore, but she knew that she could work for something else â she just had to find what that something else was. Maybe it was something as simple as taking care of Luke, maybe it was something more. She didnât know yet. âI canât be depressed. I think babies can tell and I donât think they like it.â She laughs, thinking about the time she sat against a tree, holding Luke and crying â sobbing even, over the loss of her mother. Luke started screaming until she stopped. âYou did? I shouldâve assumed that, youâre built.â She laughs, shrugging. âYou know, if you want to stay here instead⊠Iâm going to be leaving soon.â
âApparently babies do have some sixth sense, like dogs.â Cole laughed a little, that did make sense about why he was so good around kids because he was sure heâd only ever felt sadness once. âYeah, well thank you for noticing.â He joked with a light laugh. âI was a boxing and MMA coach. Hence the built-ness.â He smiled as he sat up, leaning on his elbows. âYou sure? Where you going?â
