I like to think at one point while rehearsing, Griffin and Boogie agreed 'let's try to be on either side of Pearl during the song' and didn't tell Pearl until the last second
Meanwhile Pearl's like 'wait, we practiced this. Griffin's supposed to be in the middle. Who changed the choreo?'

those sly motherfuckers! but at the same time, gotta respect the to-be queen and all that. albeit by accident
actually, to infodump a little, this makes it so that every group finals performance centres on the one who makes it to the Lucky Six first, be it coincidentally or not
- Paparazzo ends up in the centre of the Group A song (fly me to the moon) choreography wise, but he also gets a little moment to duet with each girl near the end of the song. Of which sounds lovely for both of 'em, I must say
- As you've brought up above, Pearl ends up in centre stage as well! But I truthfully can't say a lot about Save a Horse as it is... undoubtedly the group performance I've listened to the least
- Lastly, MSM ALSO gets centre stage... but he snatches it for himself by weaving around Yorkie and stealing her former spot in the centre (based on where everyone started location wise for my sharona)
IIRC, 'Razzo is in the centre of the Group A trio by default, so that means every one of them took centre stage and proved their worth in a different way. 'Razzo stuck to his spot and proved his charm can win the day, Pearl rolled with the punches and showed off her gritty adaptability and MSM showed he was finally ready to weave around his foes to make a clean dash for glory

OKAY, SO I'VE REWATCHED SAVE A HORSE. I NOW KNOW HOW PEARL FITS INTO THE EQUATION OF THE BREAKAWAY TRIO AND THEM MOVING AROUND THE STAGE. INFODUMP ROUND TWO
Turns out, to me, Pearl's on-stage movement relates to her being able to connect with others despite her gritty exterior. Mainly because all three of the Guys in Save a Horse move around quite a lot! So this shared choreography, to me, is proof of Pearl finally breaking free of her shell and showing everyone that she can click with her rivals AND the audience in one go! She's not afraid to roll with the punches and all that.
As I mentioned prior, this contrasts 'Razzo and Mad's movements.
'Razzo doesn't move around a lot from his initial position when FMTTM begins, but then again, neither do Coral or Ant. He keeps things calm and simple, letting his voice do most of the work. I still cannot get over the harmonies he pulls off with each girl on his own, man! It's him going "See? Even a little guy like me can really give things some vocal flair!"... though I guess if you stick to letting your voice carry you through when you've never sung on stage before, it kinda spells your demise sooner or later. (Even if you are quite great at it)
Meanwhile, Mad quite notably goes against what everyone else does. The whole point of Sharona as a performance is that everyone starts off separated, and then comes together... Nessy sticks to himself, and I'm a solid 90% sure that Yorkie was open to doing the same. But Mad is the ONLY one to actively try and change things, in that he sneaks around to the centre! He was locked in on snagging centre stage and the glory that came with it before his own solo performance was underway

local mask-obsessed dumbass is back at it again! particularly, i now unintentionally know more about s8
for context, the tms youtube channel randomly threw up a "replay" stream that's casually streaming old episodes. i mean based as fuck BUT! by me checking in on the video's thumbnail periodically, i know at least four of the dorks waiting for me there now a little better. those being (if you're curious):
- Harp, who I'm somehow surprised is JUST a harp. As in the instrument. I think I was thinking she was... like, a HARPY this whole time
- The Lambs, whose aesthetic I personally fucking adore. Me knowing they do really well is reassuring so I can try to dissect each of these fancy fuckers' personalities
- Snowstorm, whom I already KINDA know of thanks to her being an ambassador in S12? I think? Neutral on their existence thus far
- And... SOMETHING else. Some sorta green-black humanoid thing? My memory's a bit shit, but I couldn't tell what they were at all. Already very intriguing

intruiging, intriguing... i decided to look things up for clarity and had a fun-ish realisation (spoilers below for s8, s9, s12, s13 and s14. i promise this makes sense)
These guys are the final four. I very realistically could have been seeing either the quarters, semis or full on finals play out then.
That said, provided the last mask of mystery is this fabled SBaB, it makes me wonder where he'll fall on the scale of "Fourth Placers I Know Of". Between 'Actually Sane' and 'Fucked Up, But We Love 'Em For It'
Crane and UFO being on the former side of things, whereas Goo and Mad Scientist are on the latter. Vibes alone make me unsure of where SBaB's gonna fall, because... 'Sir'. Do formalities mean anything on this show
