Greetings! This is a blog dedicated to some of my OCs that I like to write about. You can find a google doc with information about my muses here

Hope you have a good time! I should be clear that I have severe social anxiety, so reaching out first is…difficult. I’ve also noted this in my rules, which you can be found in the document tab titled Rules

As for the mun – you can call me Ryn, and I would prefer she or they, thank you!

note: I have repurposed this blog and anything before 8/22/2025 is irrelevant to the current iteration. however, I have elected to leave what came before as an archive of sorts

had the urge to try and write again. I still need to finish setting up and writing everything for my muses, but there should be enough to get an idea of them

it's probably a bad sign that I somehow stumbled into Star Wars again and started thinking about Tari. her personal canon is Old Republic, but I don't know how active that is currently so perhaps I should start thinking about how she'd work within the current official canon context. I don't really want to wade into the mire that is New Mandalore so perhaps it might be best if I put her in the Jedi instead during the Prequel era...

thinking about Amara as Revan's descendant, specifically through a child with Malak. because there's a lot to explore there, for both Amara and Revan (though admittedly I haven't settled on Amara being Revan's granddaughter or further)

getting the urge to write Tari and Revan again, but the thought of logging on to either of their accounts is not a particularly encouraging one, so perhaps I should just bring them here...

despite my best efforts, I have continued to put a lot of thought into Tari Novhret. unfortunately she's a fun character to put into just about any setting I stumble across

the only two characters that come even remotely close are Revan and Amara, though Revan is pretty firmly anchored in Star Wars and taking her out of there kinda feels a bit weird

perhaps I should make her the anchor point / main muse and have everyone else connected to her in some way to give a bit of consistency

Nora is both a bit reckless (thankfully not terribly so) and also somehow managed to take up the role of Team Mom. she doesn't know how that happened, and truth be told she's kind of annoyed about it, because she knows it's true

being a dhampir, Nora considers herself "half undead". this tends to make people a bit confused, to which Nora's response is "Look, I never paid attention to the intricacies of vampire reproduction, all I know is that my mother was a very alive elf lady -- and before you ask, no, she wasn't elfmarked or a half elf, she was an elf -- and my father was a very undead vampire noble, how else would you explain that?"

Nora, encountering the Wild Hunt for the first time: We have to be careful! You can't just accept food and drink from the Fae, even one who broke off from the Shadow Courts!

thankfully, I have a bit more time for one of my finals, and I now have a google doc set up for muses here

again, please bear with me for a bit as I am unfortunately unable to put my full effort into this until the end of the month due to finals and a trip to visit my sister for her graduation

also while working on Nora's section, it occurred to me that perhaps I should change her tag to Nora Gallowglass instead of Lenore as that is the name she goes by most often

I am so fucking Stressed about my final paper for Greek Drama. I know I shouldn't be, I already asked my professor and I'm allowed to look at Iphigenia in both of her appearances in Euripides (Aulis and Among the Taurians), the problem is time. the essay is due the 12 and I've been habitually late on both essays previously. I feel like I wanna cry --

Valan's daughter Ma'ri is a khajiit vampire with a rather nasty condition that causes her to become physically ill upon any attempt to feed. this often leaves her quite weak -- at least for a vampire -- and Valan ended up taking her to House Ravenwatch in the hopes they could help her. Ma'ri decided to stay in High Rock while Valan continued to search for answers around Tamriel (during which time she became the Vestige)

which means that Valan was already well acquainted with Fennorian before Graymoor, and was actually quite happy to see him -- until he admitted that the Gray Host somehow got their hands on Ma'ri, and she was ready to tear the whole organization apart with her bare hands

my sister and i were talking about reincarnation in POE

...do animals reincarnate?

are animals part of the wheel?

was my dear watcher Rona's last life a raccoon?

no but really, i don't remember if it is ever mentioned, i think i heard somewhere that the wheel is just for kith, then the wiki said that no matter what pale elves respawn into the world as ale elves.

now correct me if im wrong, it has been... 2ish? years since my last time playing poe, but there was a story of animancers putting a dog's soul in a hollowborn, that sounds like it implies animals have souls,

BUT, the soul also just didn't work, like the baby was feral.

so what we know:

kith have souls, kith go through the wheel

maybe animals have a soul? but it's not compatible with kith

BUT ALSO HYLEA AND GALAWAIN HAVE ANIMALS WITH THEM DOES THAT MEAN ANYTHING!

and we never hear about like animals and livestock being hollowborn right? like i feel like that would upset farmers a lot and they would talk about it...

so, thoughts??? i think that they were part of the reincarnation cycle BEFORE the engwith messed with things, i think they made a clear difference in the souls so they couldn't go together anymore, so they are in the wheel, it's just it's own cycle

souls naturally do not stay in one piece after death -- they break apart and are reformed into something new, including animals and other kith. a past life of a farmer might have been a mouse or perhaps it was an aristocrat or a bear. In Sagani's personal quest The Long Hunt the end of it sees you encountering a white stag that clearly has a fragment of the five years deceased elder Persoq's soul -- so yes, animals do have souls and are part of the cycle of reincarnation

The Wheel existed in some fashion before the Engwithans, the basic concept is that souls go to the In-Between, wander around until they find an adra pillar, get sent to the Beyond, and thus eventually reincarnate back onto Eora. however, the Engwithans and Huana of Ukaizo built a device to regulate the flow of souls, where before it was simply natural movement like a river

as for pale elves...I would argue that they are still part of the cylce of reincarnation, however, Rymrgand deliberately stopped them from feeling the effects of entropy and they are only ever reincarnated as pale elves -- the quest Into the White Void delves into the toll this takes on their souls. and honestly, the fact the god of entropy stopped his people from following the flow of entropy is extremely ironic indeed

I think it's mentioned that it is an exceptionally rare and strong soul that does not fragment in death, and that the Watcher has one such strong soul, but I don't have a direct reference on that unfortunately

I think it would be Very Funny if Siofra met a vampire

being a Glamfellen, they are often mistaken for the undead due to their pale, near-translucent skin and almost non-existent body temperature. but the thing is, they're not undead, their people just have lived in extreme cold and shifting ice floes for over 12,000 years

she's met fampyr from Eora, but they're not the same as vampires of legend or other settings

I'm working on a google doc that has at least the relevant information about the muses I have on this blog, but it is certainly not ready to be shared. and given the fact that I have a final paper to write by the 12, and I'll be going down to visit my sister for her graduation from the 16-21, it might be a while until it's even presentable

tis unfortunate timing, but it'll get done, eventually

I think Blight and Valan would get along quite well. after all, they're both undead and use magic. the only awkward point out would the fact that Blight is lizard, but it's really balanced out by the fact they're both undead
