The younger of the OâDay brothers, Conner is the polar opposite of his brother. He was born after the family had settled in Boston, and his brother doesnât lets him live down the fact that heâs never seen their native land. As the baby in a family full of petty criminals and fighters, he never really took to their mischievous ways. Preferring to spend his time wandering the streets in search of a scene to paint or a face to capture in his drawings, the Leprechaun is far from the stereotype of his species.
Striking out on his own after over a century with his family, the winter of 1888 found him in New York City, working as a illustrator for a book publishing company. On his long walk home one evening, snow began to fall. Before he got another fifty yards, the intensity had increased to the point he could no longer see in front of him. Ducking into a bookstore to escape the freezing temperatures and the barrage of snow fall, the Leprechaun was startled to see the most beautiful human girl heâd ever laid eyes on working behind the counter. Unused to seeing a woman in such a position, Conner struck up a conversation with her while he waited out out the storm. By the time it was safe for him to go home weeks had passed, the storm having dropped 40 inches of snow on the city. The Blizzard of 1888, one of the deadliest storms the country had ever seen, had kept them locked in the tiny store and the familyâs upstairs apartment, giving the two plenty of time to get acquainted. When he was free to leave, Conner and the girl, Amanda, left her familyâs home and went straight to a priest. They were married that night and spent the rest of Amandaâs life together. When she died in his arms at aged 92, Conner was devastated. He wandered the country, ignoring the pleas of his family to come home. Taking the occasional odd job, the leprechaun spent the next few decades in a daze.
When Colin contacted him about the prophecy, Conner couldnât believe his ears. A chance to not have to hide who he was? The Leprechaun was beyond thrilled, and jumped in his beat up truck to drive halfway across the country. Joining his brother for the first time in more than a few years was an added bonus. Conner had missed Colinâs quick wit and tempestuous nature, even if he pretended that he hadnât. Taking a job in a small art gallery in Little 5 Points, he also displays his own photographs there from time to time. His love of art has morphed into photography as the years have passed, and he can often be found snapping pictures around the neighborhood.
Conner is nothing like the typical Leprechaun, and he is the exact opposite of his brother. Where Colin is quick-tempered and flirty, Conner is laid back and shy. His warm personality draw people to him, even if it hard for him to initiate social interaction with others. When spoken to, however, he is an open book and will talk about anything his companion seems interested in. He is an artist through and through, and can often be found snapping pictures or sketching in his ever-present notebook. Amandaâs death had a profound impact on him and his outlook on life. Where he used to be optimistic and jovial, her death has taken that joy from him. Conner fears he will spend the rest of his life alone, and never again feel the sort of love and connection that he felt with her. Â Â
