The Largest Landscape: The Grid Of American Agriculture
Michal Krasnopolski born 1980 is an award winning art director & graphic designer living and working in Warsaw, Poland. He is graduate (Master’s degree) of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and working predominantly in advertising, poster design & packaging.
This is a series of movie posters “The less is more”.
The basic concept was to create a very modernist, minimalist poster series for movie enthusiasts. The idea is based on a very simple grid: a circle and two diagonals inscribed in a square. It surprised me how many posters I could create based on this very simple approach;the possibilities are theoretically unlimited

Mark Lovejoy, Photographs of printing press inks
#6075 (From Spring Candy) // #5144 (From Topographies of Color)
Artist Mark Lovejoy manipulates printer inks, pigments, resins, oils, and waxes to create a luscious ephemeral panorama out of the painterly mediums. Employing the use of digital technologies and effects, Lovejoy subverts the traditional photographic medium by blending and abstracting original elements into a single, endlessly fascinating digital composition.

Okay so this is the the counter typographical piece to the cheap one...expensive. I found a really nice piece of oak routered it into an elipse shap. I then used one of the nice router heads to get a fancy edge going around the piece. I brought the piece to my uncles laser cutting machine and had my design laser cut into the piece. Im very happy with the outcome.
Just a finished shot of my "cheap" typography piece
This was for the typography part of my vis com elective. I took the shittest wood I could find in my garage and cut out the words cheap. I was going to sand it down and re touch the marker on the lettering but leaving it rough made it look even more cheap. I experimented with various background and used a cheap fabric I found to set the backround
What is feminism in 2015?: “It’s silly to play the devil’s advocate when having a conversation about female roles in Hollywood, because then you’re doing this ‘reverse feminism’ thing that has become weirdly trendy recently. I feel like some girls around my age are less inclined to say, ‘Of course I’m a feminist, and of course I believe in equal rights for men and women,’ because there are implications that go along with the word feminist that they feel are too in-your-face or aggressive. A lot of girls nowadays are like, ‘Eww, I’m not like that.’ They don’t get that there’s no one particular way you have to be in order to stand for all of the things feminism stands for.”

I just want to appreciate and acknowledge this absolutely amazing work of Henry Hobson (@henryhobson) and his team, Elastic, on designing the graphics for this year’s Oscars nomination title sequence. truly beautiful and mesmerizing.
