this blog seems to be getting attention so i’ll make a pinned post setting some things.
“what is puzzle world?” cookie run: puzzle world is a game made by devsisters in 2019. you may have heard of cookie run via its far more successful games like ovenbreak or kingdom! puzzle world centers around gingerbrave escaping the oven and finding friends along the way. it is at its very core a match 3 game, however a new mode was introduced months ago where you’d play a some sort of rpg with the cookies as well.
however at around early 2021, the game has been steadily declining in terms of update and activity, the english twitter for example has barely announced any of the newly released cookies, with the latest being cherry’s twitter post, and many more. this culminated in the game not receiving ANY sort of update or announcement after the release of white choco cookie in march of this year, and to this day the only piece of in game updates it gives is “how to protect your data”. i will not be surprised if the game shuts down this year or the next.
the reasoning for this game’s shutting down? it’s probably confidential information since we don’t know, but i can only assume its due to an oversaturated market (mobile games ADORE match 3) and also lack of interest from players (as from what i’ve noticed is that there’s hardly any players who actually actively play puzzle world)
my goal is essentially archiving some of puzzle world’s aesthetics like story dialogue or animations of the cookies via gifs or images, as i still really adore its art style.
i will NOT be archiving the stories entirely as i believe youtube covers them all pretty well. though i will do story quote gifs if necessary.
this blog’s activity will be sporadic and random, but eventually i’ll abandon this blog entirely. perhaps after the game is finally put to rest.
