Ambrose shrugged, a grin on his face as he walked farther into the room. “Anything is a turn up song if you believe hard enough.” He honestly had no idea what the song was, but he wasn’t about to let her know that. “What, I can’t come visit my favorite sister?” He joked, hands moving together as he stopped in front of her. “Nah, I need to do last minute Christmas shopping and saw you, figured I’d do my younger brother duties and annoy you first.”

coralynn followed her younger brother with her eyes as he walked around the room, making sure to keep up with what he was saying so she would be able to respond, ‘you only visit when you need something’ she teased further, signing with her hands in response, ‘that’s more like it, yes. who do you need to shop for?’

will let out a small fake gasp as he chuckled through it, unable to hold steady in his fake offense. ‘hey i am not that klumzy, i think i can be pretty graceful sometimes. we both know you’re the best teacher out there little miss, so i guess i’ll just be sitting on the floor.’

coralynn narrowed her eyes slightly, fighting back her own laugh as she teased him for his, ‘you’re horribly clumsy. you? graceful? never. i also don’t think i’m the best, but i know i’ll be the only one willing to deal with your ass.’

will couldn’t help the chuckle that passed by his lips at the smirk pulling at her face, shaking his head slightly as he moved further into the studio. ‘i don’t know cor, maybe i’m thinking of picking up a few classes, but only if i have my favorite little teacher to help me out.’ he signed back with a small smirk playing on his lips.

coralynn rolled her eyes, laughing yet again, ‘picking up a few classes? so you can fall on your face? i hope that teacher isn’t me, because i won’t take the time to help you up, hate to say.’

when will was bored, which let’s be real was basically all of the time, his mind went to two places, norman and cora and which one he could bug. today he chose cora, knowing pretty easily where to find her, even if she didn’t need to be there she could usually be found at the dance studio. hearing the blasting music was a pretty common occurrence and only confirmed he was heading in the right direction, a chuckle leaving his lips when cora turned and noticed him, a hand popping up in a wave as he came in the room fully, waiting until he knew she could see his hands again before signing. ‘well fancy seeing you here.’

coralynn relaxed slightly when she realized who it was, offering up a small smile, ‘not so fancy since this is my place to be, not yours’ she teased, her smile turning into a bit of a smirk, ‘you obviously came here looking for me, unless you have suddenly decided to take up dance?’

Usually, Norman tried to stick to his routine. It only varied once or twice a week at most- unless he was surprised which wasn’t something he enjoyed at all. But today he’d felt the need to spend some time with Cora. She didn’t really ever object, nor did Will, so he’d checked her location on his phone. They’re all three long since shared their locations for multiple reasons- which one he knew was definitely his tendency to get overwhelmed in public- and they definitely used it as just a way to find each other for regular things as well. He should’ve known she’d be at the studio, and he found himself heading there with a sense of calm that didn’t really find him disrupting from his routine all that much. He’d been to the studios around the area multiple times to find her, to just sit with her as she spun around the room in ways that had him in awe. He took pictures, more often than not, when he came to her practice sessions. Pictures that he often had gifted her and even Will with. He’d gotten to the door a few minutes before she noticed him- able to tell by the almost frantic way she signed that she hadn’t yet even registered it was actually him. He waited til she paused the music and then turned to face him before signing back an ‘it’s fine. just me.’ with a small smile on his features.

once coralynn finally registered who the person in the doorway was, she very visibly relaxed, returning the small smile happily, ‘i thought you were someone coming in to yell at me for the music’ she teased, laughing as she signed. usually, coralynn would be fairly annoyed with the disruption of her practices, though would keep to herself about her feelings - but with norman, or will, for that matter, she never minded. ‘you okay?’ she asked, knowing there could have been multiple reasons for his sudden appearance in the studio, but she wanted to make sure there was nothing going on.

Ever since returning home, JD felt like he was in some odd world where he didn’t quite fit anymore. His hearing had gotten a decent bit worse throughout the tour and while he was getting fitted for hearing aids and more tests were being run- the entire thing was beyond his control. Though he’d been around his dad and sister his entire life, having it suddenly endangering everything he’d worked for was a hard pill to swallow. He had to admit, since his return home he’d almost avoided his dad and Cora some. Facing the whole thing, facing them especially and the rest of his family- letting the truth come out about the grave reality of his entire situation.. He was scared shitless. Not just of what was happening, but how they’d take it. Cora, predictably, was at the studio dancing on a day where he’d stopped working on some solo music til his fingers ached. Going to her was a spur of the moment decision, but he knew he needed to. They’d been so close, all the family had minus their Mom when she was in one of her moods, but the siblings especially. He needed to clear the air, to be honest and make things right with his little sister. ‘don’t stop on my account.’ he signed back fluidly with a grin, albeit a tired one. it was nice, being able to sign at a regular pace instead of the slower one he’d been having to use for the past few months as he helped Tori learn and adjust. She’d get to the pace his family used with practice, but he knew it would take time. ‘figured i’d stop by, see if you wanted to get lunch or just coffee, if you’re not feeling it.’

coralynn was very visibly surprised at the sight of her brother in the doorway once it finally registered who it was. she hadn’t seen him much since he had gotten home from his tour, but she generally put it off to him needing to readjust to being back in lima after a three month span away. ‘i wouldn’t have if i realized it was you.’ she teased, jutting her tongue out with giggle. the brunette turned away quickly only to grab her water bottle, tipping it up to take a drink as she looked back to him, ‘either sounds good. the lima bean? they have sandwiches and all that there, so both would be covered. plus, i haven’t stopped in to teach them their word of the day yet.’ coralynn grinned, shrugging her shoulders.

Ambrose had less than a week to finish gathering his costume for halloween, and he was running out of time. It was easy enough to bring it together, but knowing Ambrose and his tendency to take forever, he was cutting it close. He was making his way downtown when he glanced into one of the buildings, spotting his sister. With a grin he walked in, bypassing the front and walking into the room he had noticed her in. He popped in and instead of making himself known he started to dance obscenely until she noticed he was there and stopped the music. “Why’d you stop.” he questioned, signing back to her as he walked towards her. “That was my jam.”

coralynn couldn’t help but silently laugh at her brothers antics, shaking her head as she did, ‘what? you like ‘the rite of spring’? doesn’t seem like much of a ‘turn up’ song, if you ask my opinion.’ she rolled her eyes, letting her laughter die down, even as the smile remained, ‘what are you doing here, anyways?’ the girl questioned, her brows knitting together.

Rhys did not understand sign language, however, when he saw it, he recognized what it was. He nodded and reached into his pocket for his little notepad that he took notes on. He wrote out ‘do you read lips?’ then held it up to show her. He had meant to learn sign language, and every year he said he was going to, but that had yet to happen. 

after pausing the music on her phone, coralynn turned around, noticing he was writing something down, so she patiently waited. once the notepad was turned to her, she squinted her eyes, trying to make out the words he wrote down. she nodded her head once she did, her lips curling into a small, friendly smile.

coralynn finally found herself with some free time. despite the fact that she didn’t have any scheduled dance classes, she still ended up in a studio, her music as loud as it could possibly go, seeing as it was the only way the vibrations of the song could carry through the room, giving her the ability to feel the song. she was up on her pointe shoes, spinning around a few times before she stopped, her body towards the door, finally noticing the person standing before her, ‘sorry, sorry’ she signed, not even knowing if the person would understand. the girl rushed to her phone, pausing the blaring music.
