Makeup was, when one considered it, a miracle. A simple sweep of a brush could conceal the dark circles under her eyes, evidence of exhaustion, of sleepless nights, of worry and fatigue. She could slide a blush onto her cheeks, highlight the slope of her brows, bring color to her lips. She forwent most of that today in favor of a simple sweep of concealer to hide exhaustion, color on her lips and her hair falling straight and long around her shoulders. She tended to sport oversized shirts and today was no exception, the billowing hem parting to expose long slender legs, sneakers tied tight around small feet, battered and worn as they scuffed against the pavement, carrying her towards the campus cafe.

A peek in the wide line of windows that exposed the interior of the cafe revealed that the other wasn't present yet, which was quite the relief. it gave her time to light up the cigarette she slid from her pocket, a quietly muttered incantation flickering the end into light, balanced on her lips to bring smoke winding around her head like a halo, dissipating in a breeze. Minutes passed in the midmorning sun, calm and quiet, the rough edges of the brick digging into her shoulders as she leaned against the wall, an inhale, an exhale. An inhale, an exhale, lips pursing slightly to exhale smoke, ground out the cigarette in favor of turning to enter the establishment.

Sohee was late, but she figured that sort of thing happened, hadn't been too long now, as revealed by a quick glance at the screen of her phone. She stepped up to order a coffee, iced, sugar, but no milk, lips wrapping around the straw to suck it down. The slender girl settled herself contentedly  at the little table, tapping out texts until a now-familiar face appeared across from her, prompted her to glance up at the girl. "Hey, Sohee, whats up." she lilted in greeting, nodding towards the chair to gesture for her to sit. "Lemme buy you a coffee, huh?" she teased, gestured a waitress over. "Its the least I could do, considering you dragged my drunk ass to safety."
