Hi everyone! I don’t know how many of my old followers are still following this blog but today I checked on it for the first time in a long time (a year maybe??) and was amazed by the number of messages people have sent since I left. I just wanted to let anyone interested know that I’m doing really well. I’m constantly surprised and amazed by how far I’ve come. It took a lot of work and I’ve had to take responsibility for my recovery in a way I never thought I would be able to, but for the first time in a long while I can honestly say that I no longer define myself in terms of my eatiny disorder. I’ve finally been able to move past fixating over food and have started focusing on what makes me happy.
I won’t continue blogging here because as much as I valued the support of the recovery community in the earlier stages of my recovery, I think in the end blogging was a way for me to hold on to my eating disorder. If anyone is interested, my personal/art blog is artysucker.tumblr.com (as much as I love and support every one of you, I won’t be following back ed recovery blogs as they are not helpful for my recovery.)
Best of luck to everyone out there! I know it’s cliche (and I’ve never believed it until now) but recovery is possible for everyone. Take care of yourselves.
