it’s not something he had expected, far from it, actually, but the gesture was one he appreciated none the less -- even when he didn’t know how to react to it. especially not how he should react to the sudden bit of affection he was given. it wasn’t something he was used to or had ever experienced before, so all he pretty much could do was look down and make an attempt to hide his blushing.
